Her wolf shifted, coiling tighter, restless and eager, and she exhaled sharply, trying to regain composure. Not tonight, she reminded herself. We cannot. Control.
Still, as she resumed her run back to the Summit grounds, her mind replayed every word, every glance, every subtle spark of connection. And she knew—whether she admitted it aloud or not—that silver flames had been stirred.
And once stirred, they did not easily fade. Her world was about to change and with the growing flames the world around her would change as well, she didn’t know if it would be a good thing or if it would be destroy everything she loved and valued for good.
