Dead in every way except breathing. Yet now... He knelt before Grey in wolf form. Entirely aware. Grey descended the steps slowly. "Lyon..." His voice sounded strangely rough. The former knight smiled weakly. "I apologize for my appearance." Grey ignored the joke. He grabbed Lyon's wolf head and put his own forehead against Lyon’s. "Look at me." Lyon obeyed. Grey searched his face desperately. No vacant stare. No confusion. No feral instincts. Only exhaustion. Only relief.

“Convenient.” Slowly turning my head, I looked at the speaker. An Alpha I didn’t recognize. His pack waited behind him, its faces mysterious and its black uniforms. “Is there a problem?” I asked, keeping my voice calm. The man—Alpha Grayson, if I was remembering correctly—folded his arms. “Just wondering how you expect us to believe that. Fire that strong doesn't just disappear.”

They moved with predatory grace, forming a semicircle before the platform. The back door of the center vehicle opened. What stepped out was not merely a man. It was a force of nature. Lyrian Blackthorn emerged, and the world seemed to tilt on its axis. He was tall, taller than any wolf I had ever seen, easily six and a half feet. His body was built like a weapon, all lean muscle and controlled power, wrapped in an immaculately tailored black suit. His hair was dark as midnight, slightly too long, falling across his forehead in a way that should have softened his appearance, yet somehow only made him more dangerous.

My voice unused for years, maybe I've forgotten how to speak. I only stared. “No need to fear, my dear,” he murmured. “While they see disaster, I see potential. I am Alpha Xareth Morryn. Alpha of Crimson Dusk.”

Gabe holds me behind him, while growling at the stranger. "Mine!" He snarls. He puffs his muscular chest out, and clenches his fists, making his biceps appear bigger as he tries to look as intimidating as possible. "God damn! That is one sexy motherfucker... Gray, can you please just rip his clothes off?" Grace purrs, making me roll my eyes. He raises his fist, about to punch that bastard. I quickly move in front of him and gently grab his hand, bringing it back down. He calms down as soon as I touch him, turning his gaze to me. His black, angry eyes quickly dissipated into gentle chocolate brown eyes as soon as he made contact with mine.

Forgetting about the situation that was happening currently I was snapped back to reality when I see him lunge at the grey wolf that was chasing me, they snarl and tear into one another; his claws tear into the side of the grey wolf who lets out a howl from the injury that was just inflicted onto his torso. Whimpers are to be heard as the grey wolf backs away from the black wolf and stares at me as he growls and snaps his jaw, within a second the grey wolfs retreat back to the forsaken territory as they take off running in retreat from the attack that was inflicted onto them, sighing in relief my arms collapse under me as I stare up at the sky laughing in relief of being able to live another

Grey persisted, nothing was going to stand in the way of his vengeance. "Then make me a fireball!" He said demonstrating with his palm opened out and the other wavering around. As he stalked closer. "I don't need to prove anything to you, I am fine!" "Okay!" He got to Grey's form, standing height to height. His hand went in Grey fore head with his eyes turning milky white. In an instant, Grey hands fell apart like invisible chains were holding them out. His body losing colour.. "Mhm.. nope.. Mhmm.. nope.. Mhmm.. ah, yes!" His voice rose and fell as he browsed through Grey's mind.

Gryphon frowned and said, “I know you’re immortal, but if you continue being so persistent, I’ll have to split you into eighty-one pieces to prevent you from causing more chaos.” However, only silence answered him. Gryphon shook his head in frustration and said, “Sigh.
