I ask in surprise as I look down both ends of the hall. Victor’s expression is sombre, not his usual effervescent self. “This came for you,” he says holding out a black envelope with ‘Blackheart’ scrawled on it in beautiful gold calligraphy. I take the envelope from his hand and even though I know what I’ll find, I still turn it over to look at the back, sealed with gold wax with a blood drop symbol embedded in the wax and I suck in a breath. “I’m sorry, Heart,” Victor says, his voice full of regret. I give him a smile, “You have nothing to be sorry for, thank you for bringing this to me,” I say kissing his cheek.

“You want me to stop? No! To you traitorous humans; I am your Daymare and your Nightmare. I am the Punishment of both God and Devil. If you all hadn't committed this great sin, I would not have brought this punishment unto you. I am... BLACK HEART”

As far as I know we are only forbidden to reveal our identity to them, thus I only show myself in disguise. I watched him sleep and every time he is trying to do something bad I try to kill the evil around him. The things are, there are too many evil around him. They love to feed on the bitterness that Harold has in the life he’d been with. The more he harbors it in his heart the stronger they become. We call them Eater, because they only grow when something unholy comes out of the man’s heart. They grow as human desire evil thoughts and even hide anger, lust or any of its kind. Whatever things that are not from the Lord the Eaters were being fed off.

The moment I saw his panic face, a squeezed in my heart was being felt suddenly. “W-why?” He whispered with a weak voice. His grey eyes began to tremble as his large palm caressed my hands softly. “I---I promise I’ll behave. I’ll never do it a-again, cross my heart. P-please?” His voice was fragile, making me closed my eyes for a moment before looking at him as well. Meeting his grey confuse eyes that displayed sadness although he was trying not to show it. I slowly smiled, lifting my hand to touch his messy hair. “There are things that can never be the same again once it broke. Our hearts,-------our hearts need to heal itself B-Black…” I stated with a soft tone.

“Show me your heart, Rosemary Blackhollow. Show me what you’re willing to sacrifice.” The ground beneath me cracked and splintered, a deep, bone-chilling sound echoing through the wasteland. I staggered, trying to keep my balance, but a searing pain erupted in my chest. It felt as though claws were tearing through my heart, pulling me apart from the inside. A scream tore from my throat, raw and primal, as I clutched at the invisible force wreaking havoc within me.

The vulnerability in his voice, the longing in his lyrics, resonated with the turmoil within me. I couldn't bear it anymore. I stood up abruptly, my movement drawing the attention of those around me. Now, I could see him clearly, his gaze fixed on me, his eyes a warm, inviting blue. But there was a flicker of something else in their depths, a hint of sadness, of regret, that intensified the ache in my heart. Tears welled up, hot and stinging, and I turned away, unable to face the intensity of his gaze. Rexon, sensing my distress, stopped singing, the music abruptly cut short. I didn't hesitate. I turned and walked away, my heart pounding in my chest, my mind a jumbled mess of emotions.

My voice was above a whisper, barely audible. “Sucks. You wanna do this? We can run back. Although I think you will find Blood Wraith next time instead of Black Dread.” He said, forcing my mind into a kind of loop. “Blood Wraith?” What the hell was that? “A red card they give to people they hate! You don’t want to get that card.” He was right. I had no idea what it even looked like, but its name was enough for me to think twice about my next step.

Cassian bowed his head, forehead nearly touching mine. “Then do it.” Damien roared from the archway. “No!” Too late. My blood sank through Cassian’s shirt. Into silver light. Into the Heart. Into him. The world turned white. For one endless second, I felt everything. Cassian’s chains. His screams under Black Hollow. His sister’s betrayal. Damien’s blade. The Heart forced into his chest. Twenty-one years of darkness. Twenty-one years of not dying. Twenty-one years of waiting without knowing whether anyone would ever come.

She snaps her fingers with her still expressionless face, as she calls out and names that holder’s nightmare, yet her somehow very salvation into the loop of the future and the seventh, where everything comes running down into a forbidden chance and emotions, she calls. “You’re her heart, but her demise, you who she should watch carefully, yet underestimated. Her darkest desire that is knocking and getting louder with each passing day and moment is the hunting spree she knows, anticipated, but could never evade. “Bring the rest as well as the hearts.” “I’m not a fucking Alpha, you know. These assholes are huge; the fuck am I going to carry three and a plate of hearts?” I grumble as I pick up two deadweights. These were warriors in the pack as well, who obviously had their minds twisted like Dimitri and his mate. “Excuses,” he rolls his eyes and throws the bodies outside before returning for the last one and the hearts. While he’s doing this, I run back inside to grab lighter fluid and a box of matches.
