The deformed organ is black in color, and I watch, stunned as they proceed to crush them. “What – What are you doing?” I am ignored as the two individuals crush the hurts which turn into fine dust.

For a moment, all the beautiful memories of our friendship came rushing back, threatening to overwhelm me. But his cruelty outweighed every one of them, turning my affection into hatred. "You're the same as your bas*rd Alpha." "You." He raised his hand to hit me again when a painful scream startled both of us. He turned and looked at his warrior who was bleeding and screaming in agony, clutching the arrow embedded in his heart. Then, one after another, arrows sliced through the air, striking down the warriors. Within a minute, the battlefield fell into dead silence.

My heart pounded in my chest as I watched him, a knife glinting in his hand, facing seven men armed to the teeth. The first man lunged at him, screaming, a hammer raised high. Without hesitation, he stomped on the man’s neck, a sickening crack echoing through the room. He then grabbed the hammer and smashed it into the man’s head over and over. Blood sprayed like a crimson fountain, splattering his body.

“Just end it.” “You don’t have to tell me twice.” Without hesitation, I drive the second piece of the staff into his chest, using both fractured shafts to leverage his torso open. I expose his heart and tear it completely out of his chest, gripping it tight. Lotus’s eyes instantly go lifeless, his flesh turning a stark, chalky white, but his detached heart still beats violently against my palm. I stand up slowly, feeling the weight of a thousand eyes on me. I hurl the heart to the floor and crush it beneath my heel.
