Picking up my stride, I run and breathe, letting the sweat run down my face and back. After about a few miles, I reach my lagoon. The lagoon is my favorite place to think. The place where I can be myself without any interruptions. It’s a beautiful spot untouched by men with its gentle waterfall and refreshing water. Sometimes, when I have a moment, I lie on the rocks near the waterfall and stare up into the sky. I’m a few feet away from the lagoon when the sound of splashing water alerts me to a nearby presence. Releasing my claws, I climb across a rock wall that blocks the lagoon from the trees. As soon as I reach the highest point, I prowl past the foliage but remain behind it as a cover.

I badly wanted to yield in to that temptation but I knew better than to do so. I wasn't just banished from Eclipse pack, I was made to pledge to the entire Eclipse pack that I would never appear in the pack in my wolf form unless I was protecting someone in the pack,as pack's Zeta. Otherwise, I would be completely banished from Eclipse pack, to be a rogue. My claws broke out, cutting into the steering wheel. Black was nervous and on edge just like I was and he was doing everything possible to take control. If there was anything I knew, it was that Black was deeply attached to Lila.

Liya let me in control as I took in a deep breath and smeared dirt on my body. LUCIAN BLACKTHORN I sighed in frustration, pulling away from Ayla, and keeping enough distance between us, but that alone wasn't enough to get the smell of her delicate blend of vanilla and jasmine with a hint of lemony freshness out of my system. This was torture, and worse, she didn't even feel the bond because she didn't have a wolf.
