She walked closer to the sink, opening it and washing her hands. "I have to wash my hands because of your filthy skin." She sneered. "Open your eyes Kayla, the only filthy thing here is you." I spat out. "You are just jealous, Laila. because when I'm done, I will be the one standing beside him as Luna, and together we will rule this pack together." She said, "You being Luna?" I heard Kieran scoff coming close to us. "Well, maybe in your afterlife."

The floors were a black marble tiles and the walls were painted fully white with golden spiral stairs leading to the floor above us. Multiple paintings of werewolves hung on the wall and the scent of Jasmine and lavender filled my nostrils. I noticed they were coming from the scented candles in certain parts of the room. I found Lycan sitting on one of his black leather sofas, a glass mug in his hand, his eyes fixed to the laptop on the glass table in front of him. The voice coming from the laptop made me realise he was having a video conference.

It neared evening when Darren who ran in his lycan form, majestically dashing through the woods behind Zeeb as though he were in his natural turf, finally reached their destination. Darren and Zeeb slowed down on their dash and shifted back into their human form when they arrived at a huge waterfall that gushed in a heavy flow down a tall height. The violent flush of the water that caused a huge breeze to blow at them was intimidating. Anyone would feel pressured seeing the waterfall. However, both Zeeb and Darren only stared at the waterfall with their eyes glistening in familiarity. Most especially, Darren, whose gaze seemed reminiscent of a distant past as he stared at the huge waterfall.
