Duante nodded at her. "Good to see you," She extended her hand. Her nails were painted black and manicured, "I hope you like my suggestion. It's one of your best clubs." She smiled, My eyes widened at the information. I didn't know my husband was the owner of the clubs, either. Duante took her hand. I glanced at their hands. They shook it. I saw them with a frown. He withdrew it instantly. Good boy! "Good to see you, ma'am. The meeting will start in thirty minutes." Drake stepped forward and explained it to her. It was new for me. I hadn't seen him doing business before, only warning and fighting.

I only smiled. Near the end of the night, Vivian came to stand beside me by the window. Below us, Manhattan glittered. Across the skyline, the AsterDx sign glowed from the side of our new headquarters. Vivian lifted her glass. “So,” she asked, arching a brow, “how does it feel?” I looked at the city, at the company I had saved, at the life no one had managed to steal from me twice. Then I smiled. “Unreliable men are exhausting,” I said. “A good empire is much better company.”

"I still don't really know who you are. I mean, I know your names, but..." The brothers puffed with pride, exchanging knowing glances. "I'm the successor of the Blackwood empire," Knox said, his voice casual, as if he hadn't just revealed that he ran one of the most powerful companies in the world. "I run the entire business operation alongside father. Every pack in the region answers to me, and the ones that don't are on the verge of collapse." I blinked, impressed. "The Blackwood empire? The one that owns half the territories in the country?"

"Wouldn't need an army, or even Vex himself present. Just someone willing to light a fire down here at the right moment, while everyone who matters to this Empire's gathered in one room above it." The horror of it settled over all of us at once, the careful patience of the letters finally making terrible sense. This was never just about a ransom, or even about drawing Damian out for a personal reckoning. This was about ending the Black Moon Empire's leadership in one single, devastating strike, the court, the King, his intended Luna, all of it gone at once, twenty years of patient waiting paying off in a single catastrophic night. "How long has this been here," I asked, voice barely steady.

The boardroom of Brian Empire Holdings was a chapel of subdued power, a circular chamber lined with Brazilian mahogany and oblique, cooled light. Davidson Ekon had regarded it as the ultimate challenge of mettle for so many years. Today, it felt like a combat zone, and he was the gladiator who had been stripped of his armor.

The pain was different, it hurts so deep. It was at that point I felt happy that I disobeyed my father. I raised my sword up and headed to cut off the heads of the enemies, I wanted all of them to the ground, dead. The Lunar Dominion Pack has been at War with the Crimson fang Empire and it has been a blood bath ever since the war started. It was gossipped that the curse of death was upon our pack and we will keep fighting until we are all dead. " Are you okay, Princess?" My father's soldier rushed to me.

Over time, the hotel built a reputation as the cleanest high-end venue in the city, and that… made enemies. The Black Dragon Gang thrived on illegal operations. Places like this cut into their profits. So they chose confrontation. Jake lowered his voice. “A Black Dragon ringleader’s already inside. Causing trouble.” Aurelia nodded slightly. Then her gaze shifted toward the entrance again. The red carpet, the decorations, the banner. Her brows furrowed. “What’s all this?” Jake followed her gaze. “Oh—that. Some wealthy returnees from overseas. The CEO of Alexander Cosmetics booked the entire place for a welcome banquet.”

Zooming in, adjusting brightness and studying details. Then suddenly his expression changed. "What?" I asked immediately. "Wait." My pulse quickened instantly. Maddison zoomed further toward the mansion gate visible in the background. At first I saw nothing. Then suddenly, my breathing stopped. A faint reflection, distorted against dark glass near the gate entrance. A tall figure dressed entirely in black. Standing unnaturally still, and even blurry… I could see them. The eyes. Faintly glowing crimson. "Oh my God..." The whisper escaped me before I could stop it.

Unsettling. True. I stepped forward again. My presence filling the space. “If someone within Blackwood believes they can undermine this throne…” My gaze shifted. Lingering briefly on faces that did not expect it. “…then they have already made their greatest mistake.” No one moved. No one spoke. Because now— They were listening. Truly listening. And I wasn’t finished. “I will not allow my empire to be wrecked from within.” The words came stronger now. Carrying something deeper.

Rain hammered against the city like a thousand angry fists. From the twenty-third floor of a rundown apartment building, Seraphina Vale watched the storm swallow the skyline. The city never slept. It lied. It cheated. It buried secrets beneath towers of glass and steel. And somewhere among those towers stood the man she hated most. Damian Blackwood. The name alone made her jaw tighten. At twenty-eight, he was already one of the youngest billionaires in the country. CEO of Blackwood Holdings. Media darling. Ruthless businessman.
