I caught the unit by the high-collar of its suit, my fingers crushing the reinforced plating, and slammed it into the granite fireplace. The stone cracked. The Harvester’s head caved in with a dull, wet thud of hydraulics. Silence rushed back into the room, heavy and jagged. I stood over the wreckage, chest heaving. The Phantom Blade dripped with a mix of synthetic fluid and the faint, silver sheen of my own blood where the kickback had nicked my thumb. I didn't look at the kills. I looked at my hands. The silver threads weren't just lacing my veins anymore; they were burning through the skin of my wrists, glowing with a violet light that refused to fade.

“Scythe of the Seventh, come to your master.” From the darkness above, an even darker shape fell to the ground and I reached out to touch it. It felt cold to the touch and the shadow dissipates to reveal a huge scythe, several times taller than I am. I pick it up and swung it around, testing the weight. It feels a little bit heavy, but nothing that I can’t handle. I twirl it above my head and rush at him, sweeping low and going for his torso. A large hand clamped down on the scythe with incredible speed, jolting me forward into a fist. I block, but I feel my bones crack under the intense force.

Zadicus was back again to his mind. All the twelve relics were in his grasp. He had the whole control of the relics Zadicus was bleeding, losing his breaths as before he was a fifteen feet tall warrior. A knight in black armor with his face covered with a hood and a ripped red cape, holding an ancient maroon scythe with an obsidian in its middle, carved delicately to trap souls in it. “You look beat.” His deep husky voice came, holding his scythe while sitting on his throne, looking down at Zadicus but his face couldn’t be seen because of the shredded cloak over him.

The dark mana formed a dark slender handle, with a long curving blade fastened at the end. It was scythe. One wrong move, it can cut my head right now. “HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH” the heretic let out an insulting laugh. He shouldn’t, he doesn’t have the time. A blurry black figure appeared on his back. It outlined a young man with its black robe covering him up. The only thing visible was his bright emerald eyes glowing under the dark. Like a snake, Zen’s right hand who was holding his dagger coursed through the air at incredible a speed as it made its way towards the neck of the opponent.

It was looking for an opportunity to stop Adrian and Rozi's joint attack. The black scythe emanated with an air of death. It felt even colder than the air around them. A faint black aura could be seen around the scythe, seemingly made out of a singular soul locked within. The soul shrieked and wailed in pain. The scythe thirsted for human life, and it would lock the soul it reaped within itself for an eternity of suffering.

One blink it only took, then dark-orange blood started raining over Janshai as the slaughtered beasts scattered on the ground. “What the hell just happened?” Arth shook his head as he stared at the form of the long scythe Janshai was holding. The weapon was mostly black, with glowing red lines and writings marked on the curved blade, making it look more evil and demonic. Janshai just ignored Arth as he wiped the blood on the blade of his scythe. “How did you do that?!” Arth kept on asking. “When you called for your weapon earlier, it just blew me away! It’s like Alice’s staff that appears out of nowhere!”

Swoosh— Just as he dodged, Yang Xiao stepped forward, and the machete in his hand turned into a residual shadow and slashed on the chest of the man in black. Puff— As the machete fell, blood sprayed from the chest of the man in black, directly dyeing the black clothes on his chest red. The man in black groaned. The Sanling Thorn in his hand turned into a shadow and shot toward Yang Xiao's head. At such a close distance, Yang Xiao had no choice but to give up the chase and cut at the Sanling Thorn.

Long greasy looking hair covered most of its face and only one red colored eye was directed at the both of us as it approached. "I believe that is a corpse seeker, Rai," I mumbled sourly and pulled my sword out and held it in front of me. Rai patted my back and said there were six more surrounding us. The closest one reached out and scratched me on my forearm with its claw and I screamed in agony as the skin partially decayed and fell away. I looked at Rai and told him we were both fucked. I watched him close his eyes and felt the ground shift beneath my feet. My mouth dropped open as thick black clouds engulfed Rai and formed a cloak around his growing form. He opened his hand and a shiny s

I wipe off blood from my nose and snap it back in place “Last chance, tell me where to find that bastard and you might be alive to rebuild” “Don't underestimate me just because you were able to land an attack on me” blood drips from her face and she slowly walks to me Death Scythe emerges from my shadow and floats beside me before I grip it firmly and run to her.
