Jake’s heart skipped a beat as he looked down into the crystal blue eyes of his intended. They were the same colour as the water around a glacier, with a darker, almost violet ring in the center of them. He remembered her mother’s wolf, then looked at the thick, shinny white hair that was cascading over her slender shoulders and realized her eyes would be blue as ice water and her fur as white as snow. His wolf growled in appreciation. Jake didn’t realize he’d actually made a noise until Liana’s eyes widened and she stepped back in alarm.

'' I asked to be sure, and he nodded his head. At this moment, I wished I were a werewolf. It would have been easier to communicate with him. Despite knowing it was Alpha Darin, I was so scared of the scary animal before me. As it stands before me, its intense gaze locks onto me, and I can feel the weight of its presence. Its piercing eyes are a deep, soulful green, betraying a deep intelligence and cunning. The wolf's ears are perked up, alert, and ready for any sign of danger or prey, while its bushy tail swishes back and forth in anticipation.

I got up with a jerk and looked towards the bushes on my left. "Who is there?" I asked no one in particular and took a defensive position. I never had to ask a second time as a giant black wolf came out of the bushes, and for a minute, I was mesmerized by his beauty. This wolf is more massive than alpha Aiden's wolf and has the most beautiful green eyes. I stood straight and gave up the defensive stance as I knew he was not a rogue as he didn't have red eyes... {he must be one of the guests for mate ball} ... I gave him a slight bow as I could feel the aura of some high-ranking wolf around him, and he nodded in acknowledgment. "Goodnight," I told him and walked in the direction of the orphan

Opposite. The thought anchors itself, and I let it guide me. Slowly, a vision takes shape. A sleek, white wolf, smaller but no less striking. Its coat is bright as snow, shimmering faintly under moonlight. Its eyes—what colour would they be? Not gold. Something softer, more… mine. I picture them as a deep, piercing blue. Yes, blue. Like his human eyes. A strange warmth fills me, spreading through my chest as the image solidifies. My wolf. A white wolf with blue eyes. It feels foreign yet familiar, like something I’ve always known but never named.

"Nothing you don't want to happen." He leaned up and looked into her eyes and saw a small twinkle. Before he could do anything else, she climbed out from under him and kept walking. He shook his head and followed and out of the jungle, stood a large house. It was three floors with porches wrapped on each one. Solid white with swings in the front and a few dogs laying near the door. She walked up and they barked and wagged when they saw her. When they saw him, all three wolves growled in his direction. They took a few steps forward and she whistled and they returned to laying down. She waved for him to come on and they walked inside. Inside, it looked like an English estate. She walked in and

I didn’t want to do anything that would cause my wolf to lose it, not now that I was in front of one of the most dangerous werewolf kinds of all time, the Sadiophers. I gulped as the animal started to move closer to me. It turned in circles as it stared at me, and I stared into its orbs. Unlike the others, it didn’t have dark or red eyes. It had green eyes, which made me realize how much more dangerous it was to go with it. "Alpha, let’s run. We’re not a match for it!" The beta told me as the wild wolf howled, making sure it shook the ground that I stood on as it started to move closer to me.

Roxy gave Lucas a kiss on the cheek before taking off. Lucas turned to face the council member. "Can you feel it happening?" He asked. "What?" "Your heart." He touched Lucas' chest. "All wolves' power comes from their hearts. It is how we are tied together. As a new Alpha they are bonding to you. Enjoy it, the memory of this feeling will stay with you forever." Lucas' heart was beating so fast he couldn't feel a thing. Since it was supposed to feel pleasant he closed his eyes and gave a nod. Then out of the blue a feeling of euphoria hit him.

It hit like a tidal wave, dragging me under all over again. I forced myself to stand, weak and shivering. As I turned toward the mirror, something caught my eye, just for a moment. My wolf was there, but not like any I’d ever seen, she was massive, jet black, darker than night, darker than death itself. Her eyes burned like fire, vivid orange flames dancing in a soulless void. I screamed and stumbled backward, crashing to the floor, my heart pounding like war drums. When I dared to look again, she was gone. Only my own reflection stared back, shaken. What are you? I thought, clutching my chest.
