“I need to remember that,” she affirmed.
“Hungry?”
“I am,” she said and grinned.
Her appetite was almost as large as mine.
We went back down to the lobby; Byron was still at the desk.
“Where’s a good place to eat?” I asked.
His smile grew wide. “Definitely Neutral Ground.”
“Interesting name,” I remarked.
“It’s a local safe haven,” he almost whispered. His eyes darted around the lobby, then landed back on me. “Jaime is the owner and doesn’t tolerate any shifter shenanigans, so everyone can enjoy it.”
