Smith. Mike Smith is one of the biggest shots in the city and a well-known gang boss. He runs a chain of illegal businesses in the city, one of which is a whore house. The reason he hates Mr. Jackson with passion is that he ruined his business sometimes back. Mr. Jackson’s late wife, Mrs. Sarah Jackson, was the love of his life but was unfortunately in love with Mr. Jackson. For years he held grudges against him and wanted more than anything to ruin their life.

They lived on the top of Tarron’s Ridge for a reason. Tarron’s Ridge was in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, somewhat near the town of Chattooga, Tennessee. Tarron’s Ridge also overlooked the Tennessee River and the place where Jericho grew up. He’d grown up as part of a small tribe of Cherokee living in the mountains and while his mother was a full blooded Cherokee, Jericho wasn’t. But he was so much more than just his father’s bastard son. People looked up to him as the President of the MC, not out of fear but out of respect. He protected his people and everyone else that lived on Tarron’s Ridge.

Schneider had to admit that the Italians made better food. She wasn’t a racist, though. There were lots of black people in Smiths Hollow and Mrs. Schneider didn’t have a problem with any of them. Blackthorn stood there. Jackson drew me near, his body shielding against whatever was approaching. "Stay behind me," he urged, his voice consistent in the middle of the turmoil all around. They were so pathetic that they needed to tie him up and use a weapon to beat him.
