Blake steps forward, voice iron-hard. “If she says no,” he says, “then it’s no.” Adrian’s stare locks onto him—dark, burning, possessive. The air turns suffocating. I won't let this man ruin my life and for that to happen, I can't do anything but kill him instead of letting him kill me.
