Chaos’s expression was almost smug now, as though he had known all along and had been waiting for this precise moment to enjoy our confusion.
Order, unsurprisingly, looked as though this had always been obvious.

The center of the throne room had changed again. Before us now stood a low pedestal, and on it rested a blade. It was small, elegant, ceremonial, and impossibly old. The metal held neither the glow of the spirit realm nor the shifting darkness of the void. It looked like something forged between them.
