His head snapped up just as the elder reached beneath his robe and unsheathed a blade unlike anything he had ever seen. The celestial blade shimmered like molten gold, pulsing with divine energy. The moment it was drawn, Daniel felt it in his soul. This was no ordinary weapon. This was something crafted to kill things like him. “A death by this blade will sever his existence completely,” the elder stated. “No rebirths. No resurrections. No cycles. If we strike now, the entity will be erased forever.”

The big drow yanked on the chain and swung it to the side, sending the blade towards Otheric. The young drow ducked and the blade merely shattered the chimney he was hugging. Without much effort, Nymgos spun the blade around again, keeping Minos and Rei at a length's distance. Anybody who dared to move, Nymgos would toss the blade against them, and pull it away, and spin it up again.

Willow clutched his sword, ready to strike. “Open it.”, he said, shakily. The plan was very risky. He was going to use his sword to impale it and then use Lifesteal. The risky part was actually getting the hit in. If he missed, he could die immediately. That thing was that fast. And there was the problem of controlling the excess chaos energy. He wouldn't have time to filter it.

He was always so pleased by her speed and ruthlessness in dispatching his elder children, that he doted on her during class. She was unrivaled in hand-to-hand, quicker and more sure-footed than her siblings. She was deadly with small blades as well, and kept one tucked in her boot at all times, just in case any of Killian's cronies took the young Lord at his word and tried to have her quietly dispatched. Not that she ever represented a true threat to either Killian or Reena, she was just as much her mother's daughter as her father's, and it was likely she would be a prey shifter rather than a predator.

There will be nothing left of him for the pack to follow." My hands clenched into fists at my sides. The finality of her words was terrifying. I nodded, but I said nothing.

I shouted. I stepped out from behind Rowan. The obsidian blade in my hand felt different now. It wasn't just a heavy piece of stone. It was light, almost weightless, and it thrummed with the soft, white light of the girl I had seen in the warehouse. It was the **Blade of the Unsaid**. Blade came out with his usual all black clothing—a big black sweatshirt, a black baggy jean, black glasses, black face cap, black sneakers— and a revolver carefully tucked by his side. To my shock, the passenger door opened and a girl came out. She was obviously young, probably fourteen or fifteen with red hair and a round hazel eyes which peered at me through the glass of the coffee shop. I couldn’t help but wonder who she was and why Blade had decided to bring her along. They both shared words before walking towards the coffee shop. “Emily!” Blade called as he walked inside with his companion right behind him. “I’m right here,” I said waving my hands in the air to draw his attention.

Belief. I had given all three. The scars lived on my skin. My mind held the names of those who died in divine silence. My faith had fractured under what I had seen—but I stayed.
