" Liam pulled out the knife I'd found on the balcony and slowly stalked toward me. I backed away and splashed him with paint. "Don't come any closer! I'll destroy your paintings if you take another step!" Sure enough, he stopped. His eyes turned frosty as he snarled, "I'll destroy you if you touch my paintings." Despite his words, I knew he wouldn't let me off the hook even if I didn't do anything. I threw a bucket full of paraffin oil at him before grabbing a lighter from the drawer.
