"Let's go downstairs and watch some TV." Bonnie frowned, "uhh, are you mocking me or something?" She asked Lorenzo mentally face palmed, "No-umm-I mean, I have a blindfold-" Bonnie giggled, "So you want to go downstairs and watch TV with me, a blind girl while wearing a blindfold?" Lorenzo cleared his throat, "Yes." He firmly said, raising his chin up. Bonnie only shrugged, "Alright." They went downstairs and sat on the huge leather couch. Lorenzo switched on the TV and handed the blindfold to Bonnie. "Care to help?" She smiled and took the blindfold from him. Bonnie put the blindfold over his eyes and he turned around making it easier for Bonnie to tie it.

But it was his face that made the blood freeze in my veins. His features were carved from absolute, impenetrable ice. His pitch-black eyes, which usually burned with a dark, consuming obsession whenever they looked at me, were entirely flat. Dead. There was no warmth, no possessiveness, no anger. It was the terrifying, blank stare of a ruthless corporate CEO looking at a spreadsheet. "Stellan?" I whispered, my voice trembling as I took a hesitant half-step back. "What... what’s going on? His stares to me blankly and stood on his place not daring to move. His good posture and build is shouting normality but his gaze is definitely not normal. When I'm about to walk near him, his feet suddenly moved towards me so, I readied myself in case he attack me but.....wow! He blankly stared in front of his way while walking pass by me like he doesn't saw me. Wow, I don't if I should be happy or mad. I'm left hanging while my jaw dropped. Is he.... ignoring me?! How dare him? Is he saying I'm not worthy?

"You were staring at me like I had something on my face." "You don't have anything on your face." "I know I don't," she said. "So why were you staring?" "I wasn't staring," I repeated. "I was... glancing. There's a difference." "There really isn't." "There is," I insisted. "Staring implies sustained, unblinking focus. I was merely... briefly acknowledging your presence in my peripheral vision." She stared at me. "That's staring," I added. "I'm doing it on purpose to make a point," she said flatly.

"WINTER!" I blink, my eyes strangely dry. I realize suddenly that I'm staring Blake dead in the face. My mouth's open and I'm drooling. I quickly wipe my mouth, embarrassed at being caught. I didn't mean to stare but I was so focused on my own predicament that I kind of zoned out. Well, he's definitely hard to not stare at but not the way I was staring. "Hah?" Dear Lord. I couldn't even say huh. It came out a nasally "hah". Now my mouth's open again in the most awkward way and I can't make it shut.

I watched. I categorized them quickly. There were the "Guests." The rich ones drying out from cocaine binges or hiding from scandals. A tech CEO was pacing, yelling into a phone that wasn't there. An heiress with smudged mascara was crying softly into a silk handkerchief she had somehow smuggled in. And then, there were the others. The Blanks. Three people sat by the window. A man and two women. They weren't old, but they looked ancient. They wore the same blue scrubs. They sat perfectly still, hands folded in their laps, staring at the mountains with eyes that saw nothing.
