Both were Gareth’s ultimate techniques, especially the flame, which had been tempered for years near the corpse of the ancient Phoenix, capable of incinerating countless beings. "It... it burns." Garrett’s sharp eyes instantly tracked from her blistering hand down to the fallen dagger in the dirt. He knelt, picking up the weapon with a piece of cloth. He brought the hilt close to his nose, sniffing the leather wrapping cautiously. His rugged face instantly hardened into a mask of pure, lethal fury. "Wolfsbane extract," Garrett growled, his voice dropping into a low, menacing rumble that made the nearby warriors freeze. "Concentrated. Pure oil. It was rubbed directly into the leather weave of this specific hilt."

"This is—wow." Zac chuckled softly. "My grandfather was a big reader. He quoted literature as if he were a human book himself." I turned to look at Zac, my eyes lit up. "Zac, this is amazing." Zac shrugged nonchalantly, smiling. "I thought you'd like it." He walked over to one wall, skimming the shelves until he pulled out a book. "I wanted you to have this." I looked at the book he held out for me to take. It was called "Bloom" by Kelle Hampton. I smiled at the title, meeting his eyes. "Wha—but why?"

The person stuttered, "M-Mr. Zalmer… are you saying D-Dr. Zal—Winifred—is your daughter?" Serena ignored the crowd and moved the cursor to play the surveillance footage. In it, I wore a white laboratory coat and wore a surgical mask as I meticulously worked on an experiment. Everything seemed normal. Just then, the glass beaker before me caught on fire without warning. Flames soon shot to the sky as a thick plume of smoke came from the beaker. Upon seeing that, Raiden pointed at the screen and exclaimed, "There! Winifred, you must've done something wrong. Don't worry, though. I can endure your punishment on your behalf!"

He goes shooting off me, the scent of singed hair filling the air as he slams down on the ground near a large rock.

He stood there, dumbstruck, gaping at Blaze. Blaze pivoted and scowled at him. "You are not interested! Then block my blow." In a flash, he punched him on the sternum. Gayle soared in the air and landed on the ground a few yards away. The force of the strike knocked the air out of his lungs. He coughed and struggled to breathe, his eyes switching from black to red. His wolf started growling in his head, ready to take control. He sprang to his feet and lunged at him.

Samson’s house came into view with rogues circling around it. Blaze instantly spotted the six rouges. The rouge positioned himself, ready to attack the Alpha. Blaze smirked at him. He lunged at Blaze, but he quickly dodged it and bit his neck. The rogue whimpered in pain. Blaze bit his neck hard, and he fell on the ground, dead. The other rouges snarled at the Blue Moon pack’s warriors. The beta known as Caleb attacked the rogues with the help of the warriors.

Lilith heard herself cry out, saw Blaze- barely an inch distance from her- whirl in astonishment, shock mingling with anger on his face as he casted the torchlight in that direction. Through the scattered leaves flying everywhere came four wolves, low to the ground. Their eyes were blazing red, and from their throats came a combined low growl that sounded like the roaring clash of a thunder. Rogues! ‘Now this,’ said Bash, coming forth, ‘is a situation.’ Blaze couldn’t agree more as he handed Lilith the torch. The rogues crouched, low and snarling, and Blaze stepping in front of Lilith with his arms spread out, held his ground.
