Kinsley’s voice pulls me out of my musings as she jets towards her dad. Understanding the meaning of her words, I don’t contemplate, I lunge and head to the beta with Kayleigh’s dagger still pierced close to my heart. I really don’t have a choice but to leave the weapon where it’s at to avoid heavy bleeding. Right now, the silver blade is pressing against the wound, acting as a plug and preventing further damage. Pulling it out will cause the blood vessels that were severed to bleed profusely, internally and externally.

“But your skin? Your skin screams yes, every time I touch it.” And then, giving her no time to respond, he gripped her foot firmly and rested it on his knees. His gaze stayed locked on hers, calm and cruelly serene. With a swift motion, he slid the blade along the sole of her foot. This time, the metal didn’t just threaten—it cut. It was subtle, precise, but enough to draw blood.

I ran to the bathroom to find any first aid kit and luckily there is with a good variety of supplies, enough to help him with his situation. I washed my hands to avoid further infection from any bacteria. I ran over to him and cut the fabric of his left sleeve off. Looking at the wound made me realize that he was grazed by a bullet and tore his skin enough to bleed this much.

I took the knife close to my thighs and with shaking hands I used the knife to cut my lap. “Ahhhhhhhhhhhh” I screamed out so loud in pain and blood started oozing out from the cut and the pain was so much that it made me dizzy. And within minutes I lost consciousness.

“Alaric, you’re bleeding.” She pushes on my chest, asking me to sit up. I do, giving her space to go up onto her knees. She crawls toward me, her soft fingers gently touching my arm. My suit is torn. That knife tore straight through the fabric and cut into the flesh beneath. I can feel it now, a slight sting. It’s bleeding a lot but it’s not deep. Though that it hasn’t healed yet, thanks to my quick healing factor as an Alpha, means that the blade must have been silver.

I hope so, especially that I don't have anything now but myself. After a few minutes when I thought I was okay, I went to the kitchen to cook. I took the knife and started slicing the onions. The knife sliced through the onion with far too much force. Maybe I pushed the handle a little too far. My index finger bled, staining the chopping board. The sting intensified as more blood drained from my brain, forcing me to take a step back. I heard that even a small amount of blood gushing out could make me sick. I look through the cabinets for the medical kit, but it appears that I hid it far too well.

It hit the wood with a dismissive clink. "Aria... you need to cauterize that," Kael’s voice rasped from the floor.

I ended up in the hospital for disobedience, what would they do to me if they caught me with a knife? I tried to stand still but I felt the cold trails off the blood dropping down my side. “What is going on with you?” He barked. “Nothing,” I squirmed and ran a hand through my hair while I turned around. My skin was slowly pulling together, I closed my eyes and prayed to the gods that it was healing. I reached my hand down the top of my dress and touched the wound. Yes, it had healed… but around the teeth of the blade. The knife had healed into my skin.
