I shut my spirits down, I didn't want to hear them whine and take over me again. They were on time out. But still, I could not shake the feeling that maybe I had allowed myself to be played by Olivia. I stood up quickly and began to walk out, then I saw Tasha… a cute she wolf I had noted to fuck soon but I guess I forgot about it. She walked towards me with a glass of water and bowed before me. Her pink hair was tied in a pony tail, her long lashes nearly hit her cheeks when she blinked. She was beautiful, but not as beautiful as Olivia.

Calder was pacing outside and immediately stopped, rushing to her. “How is he?” Astasha swallowed as she looked up at him. “We’ve given him herbs to help him sleep. But…” She looked down, closing her eyes for a moment. “He… he’ll never see again, Cal. The fucking demon blinded him.” He tipped her face toward his. “This is not your fault, Tasha. I can feel the darkness consuming you over it, but you can’t give in to it. I promise you, we will make that piece of shit pay for everything it’s done.”

He slows down the car making her sigh in relief. But, it is too late now and suddenly they see a big container coming towards them. Sook-Ja yelps loudly as she feels the car being hit and she closes her eyes tightly waiting for impact.

V Old Nana said we are going in the next two hours, I was lying down on my and Liza's bed, and the thought of his Majesty being blind hasn't left my mind, since I eavesdropped on his discussion with the physician. How come his wolf is blind? Was he cursed by the moon goddess? Was that the reason why he always acts cruelly? I guess the moon goddess decided to favor me, I am gonna frustrate his life now that I know that his wolf is blind, he will regret taking me in as his personal slave. "Hey what are you thinking about?" Liza asked and I fake a frown. "What did you mean? Did I look like I am thinking about something?" I asked and she clear her throat....

Taylor starts crying and Tasha glares at her again her lips almost disappearing as she presses them tightly together “I am mated to one of them”

She felt like a part of her had been ripped away and she didn't know how to move on. The night was a blur of tossing and turning for Tasha. She woke up in the middle of the night, feeling suffocated by the memories of her and Blake. She got up and went to the bathroom, hoping the cool water of the shower would calm her down. Tasha stood under the water and cried until she couldn't anymore. END OF FLASHBACK

Why would a blind man choose something so visual? Unless he remembers. Unless he refuses to let the dark win. I don’t know how long I stand there. Then— “What are you doing here?” The voice slices through the silence. Low. Calm. Controlled. I spin around. Desmond Blackwood stands near the door. My heart nearly stops. I don’t hear it open. I don’t hear him move. He stands tall in a perfectly tailored charcoal suit. His white cane, detailed with subtle gold swirls, rests in his left hand. Dark lenses shield his eyes, his expression unreadable.

I noticed everything. People assumed that because I couldn’t see them, I couldn’t read them. That blindness had made me less. If anything it had made me more. Every shift of breath, every pause, every small change in someone’s voice when they were about to lie or collapse under pressure, I caught all of it. Noah Carter sat down. He did it without being asked twice. That was mildly interesting. “You applied for a position requiring full-time live-in availability,” I said. “You’re twenty-three, your last employer was a coffee shop in Queens, and your listed qualification is a literature degree. Explain to me why I shouldn’t end this interview right now.”

"Not a single life-core in this entire dungeon." I blew out a sharp breath, watching a small, silver cloud of it appear and vanish. "Then what is this place for? Blair hid something down here. I know it." "Thalia," Cassius’s voice was strained, cutting through the silence. "I don't understand. I should be able to detect something. The only core I can feel is the guard's, and his is fading as we move deeper. It's like this level is… shielded. Warded against my kind of sight."

The soft glow of the bedside lamp cast shadows over her face, making her look even more fragile than before. “Robbin,” she said, her voice quiet. He forced a small smile. “Hey, how are you feeling?” Tasha exhaled, shaking her head. “Like my mind’s a puzzle with missing pieces.” She looked down at her hands. “Claire wouldn’t tell me everything.” “That’s because you need to rest,” Robbin said gently. Tasha met his gaze. “And you? Will you tell me?” Robbin hesitated. He wanted to. He wanted to be the one she turned to, the one she trusted most. But he also couldn’t risk her remembering everything too soon, not when Daniel was still in the picture.
