The Blinding One Novels & Stories

“I really wanted to drink your blood but before that, I would like to see you bathe on it. Just like that damn beast did to me, I’ll both kill you afterward.” “HAH!” Layla gasped when she felt her innards coming out of her body. Her sight hadn’t adjusted in the dark yet and she could barely see anything which made her other senses work more efficiently. She closed her eyes to easily adapt to the situation. It was unusual but since she was blindfolded for so long, she could better operate when her sight was blocked. “Take this!”

ALEXANDER'S POV When I reached the location of the meeting, a tall modern infrastructure, I parked the car and stepped and walked over to the passenger side to open the door for One. I unlocked the cuffs, opened the door and then put my hand on One's shoulder. With a swift motion, I removed the blindfold from One's eyes. As the blindfold slipped off, One blinked and rubbed their eyes to adjust to the light. The sudden brightness startled One, and they tried to pull away from me. But, as always, they were weak and unable to resist my grip.

"But you won't stop me. Because you want to see if it works. If I can really become no one." Silence. The cold deep. The dark green. She was right. I wanted to see. But not for the reason she thought. I raised the cane. Not to strike. To show her. "I brought this," I said. "Your cane. Ten years of performance. Blindness real and fake." She opened one eye. "I don't need it," I continued. "I never did. But I took it. Because without it, you're just..." I searched for the word. "Naked. Visible. Someone who has to be seen."

BLADE 3. Pain. It was all I felt when I shot my eyes opened. I felt so sore and tired. The memories of how Lorenzo plunged deeper into me last night filled my mind. He was so cruel to me. I didn't find any enjoyment in it at all. I tried lifting my hands and I was happy It was back to functioning. My tit hurts too as a result of the sucking he did last night.

The hooves of our horses awaken some of the people of my pack, causing them to peek out their windows and doors to see what the commotion is about. Before long, we reach the courtyard of the palace and begin to dismount. After a quick debriefing, I release the men to go home to get some rest. Turning, I focus on the woman at my side and find myself floored. Her hood has fallen back to reveal raven hair, the light of dawn causes rainbows to shimmer in the long strands. Her beauty takes my breath away, but that isn’t what truly floors me. Her eyes, her eyes are a dull shadow violet. She’s blind.

Shawna said, shaking her head. “Yea Lynn, I get what you was saying, but if he do that, I'm quite sure, I’ll be the first motha fucka he kills since his claws got my neck on speed dial. So let's leave the you’ll have to kill us all; all the way to the back of the line, like where the letter Z go.” Mina said as she stumbled purposely going to her knees, forcing the Dark One to try and catch her before she fell to the ground. When he bent down that exposed his head, which is what they were counting on. As soon as they saw an opening they all fired the weapons at once. When the arrows and blades where thrown, Michael ran towards the Dark One like he was running track. The Dark One saw the blade

So maybe it had been the Dark One who had ‘missed something’— missed Anne. Landon had told the Dark One that he would miss something and the Dark One had retaliated with confidence and assurance, but it turns out that he actually missed something. He had been ignorant and now, he was on the ground unconscious. I tensed with the thought. We could win now… Anne dropped the metal weight she had used on the Dark One’s head and paced over to me, crashing on the ground before me. She was blind so she had her gaze arrowed elsewhere as she used her hands to try to properly make out my form.

Her hands don't budge and I assume the never-ending pain that I feel in my chest could only mean that is where I was shot. I feel myself slipping away again. My head becomes fuzzy and my surroundings edge with a blurry pitch dark silhouette. All I can see is the blue from Crayvin's eyes as he stares down at me. Those eyes I love so much are brimmed with so many emotions. Fear, worry, sorrow, misery.

Why would a blind man choose something so visual? Unless he remembers. Unless he refuses to let the dark win. I don’t know how long I stand there. Then— “What are you doing here?” The voice slices through the silence. Low. Calm. Controlled. I spin around. Desmond Blackwood stands near the door. My heart nearly stops. I don’t hear it open. I don’t hear him move. He stands tall in a perfectly tailored charcoal suit. His white cane, detailed with subtle gold swirls, rests in his left hand. Dark lenses shield his eyes, his expression unreadable.
