Trees' glowing eyes fluttered in and out of existence. They were on the lookout. They sat and waited. He came to a halt and raised his eyes to the red-painted sky. A swarm of vultures gliding, observing, seeking — wings of gravestones smearing out the moonlight — loomed over her, etched out by cawing epithets. Along with the crimson moon, there was a Lycan's shadow. He was gaining ground. As sweat ran down the leprechaun's brow, her heart raced. A frightening owl hooted, interrupting his concentration. As the images began to blur in the shadows, Obligichaun turned quickly, his eyes wild. He could feel his nails digging into the skin of his palm.

It is called “The Two Doves and The Owl.” I walk into the bookstore; I begin to browse. When I cannot find anything, I inquire about the book. The elder lady greeted me warmly. I could tell she was a very sociable person, and loved to chatter with her customers when she was able to. “Oh, Two Doves and The Owl? That is very vintage. I do have a few copies. Not upstairs here but downstairs in my antique section. Let me show you.” I smiled and began to follow her.

I grunt, dragging myself toward it. And that's when I see it… an owl. A small, black and white owl, laying motionless near the serpent's carcass. Her feathers are ruffled, and she's breathing shallowly, like she had just run a thousand miles on her little wings. I remember seeing her before I lost consciousness except that it now looks like she's been through hell. Wait… don't tell me she killed… it? Wow! "Well," I murmur, staring at her. "You look worse than I do."

She had never went this far and as much as she was a bit scared, her need for adventure made her enter deeper, jumping and gazing at the floras around her. It was odd the trees around her have so many flowers, pink flowers to be exact and most of it fill the ground to a brim that her feet were bury in it. Eve was amazed with its beauty and quite surprised not ever seeing it ever. Meanwhile, a small great horned baby owl was resting itself on her shoulder. Its eyes were open and it has golden eye with black circles around it. It has pure white fur with black specks highlights its chest and thick feathers grew around its neck just like a fur. It keeps making a small ‘hooo’ sound every time she

“Yes. What I don't understand is why there's an hint in the first place. I'm beginning to have a bad feeling about this contest.” All of them turned their gaze to the misty hills. There was something evil about it. Harold could easily guess that it was linked to the ghouls and so on but the other two, especially Penelope, couldn't. All of a sudden, something caught Harold's attention. The sky was turning blood red. The birds that were in the sky seconds ago had vanished and the breeze that blew incessantly was still. His heart began to beat fast as he took in the details of his environment then all of a sudden, his wolf spoke to him, “Run.”

Jamal’s POV The message from the owl arrived under the cloak of night, a messenger of the unseen realms. Its white feathers glowed in the moonlight, and in its beak, it carried a small vial—a vessel containing an otherworldly concoction. The air crackled with arcane energy as the owl descended, talons gripping the edge of my windowsill.

Olivera's finger throbbed with pain as she stared at the small drop of blood on the page. The circle, now darkened with her blood, seemed to pulse with a life of its own. She pushed it away from her lap, and shifted to the other side. Her eyes widened in incredulity as white smoke began to rise from the book, curling and twisting in the air. The scent of lavender and rose filled the room, a soothing contrast to the sharp pain in her finger. She watched in awe and trepidation as the smoke began to form shapes, reacting as if it were alive.

The little black cat curled up in her lap as usual. "Tonight we find out the real skinny on this, kitty," she murmured as she opened the heavy book to the page she had marked. "I don't even know what I'm looking for any more but I hope I find it soon." She opened the book to the place she'd marked, two pages of hand-drawn sketches. One of the drawings especially caught her eye. The face of the wolf looked almost human and she had the bizarre feeling the animal was staring out at her from the page.

Then, looking upward toward the sound, I growled, "Go away, you creepy mother fucker!" Few things bothered me. But the fact an owl could turn its head until it was looking over its shoulder and keep going until it's eerie yellow eyes were looking over the opposite shoulder, did. And I sure as shit didn't need its mythical omen at the moment—whether true or not—I didn't want a supposed harbinger of death screeching above my head.
