Eventually Elowen stopped before a small wooden table. One book rested upon it. Unlike the others, this one looked unfinished. Blank cover. Silver binding. No title. The library seemed quieter here. Waiting. Elowen touched the book gently. Then looked at us. "This one is special." Dangerous sentence. Hope immediately moved closer. Naturally. "What is it?" Elowen smiled. "A story still being written." Silence. The floating lanterns drifted overhead. Soft golden light danced across the blank cover. The book shimmered faintly.

Because they had been busy lately, she decided it would be better if she faced that fear and accepted that they wouldn't be spending all the time with her since they also had their own lives. An owl hooted from afar, making her jump in fright, but she took a deep breath, calming her racing heart. The owl's hooting was a sign that she was about to reach her destination. She clutched the black rose flowers she was carrying in her hands so tightly as if her life depended on them. After she realized what she was doing and had crushed a few leaves, she released her grip and decided to concentrate on what she was hearing.
