To his surprise, it was a janitor, a man he had never seen before. The janitor carried a new scent, clearly not from the Redborne pack. The man bowed his head with polite respect. “Greetings, Lycan. I am Ben from the Blacklore pack. I just started today. Miss Paloma explicitly told me to assist you.” There it was again, the title “Lycan.” Matthias frowned, suspicion twisting in his gut at the perfect timing. But he shrugged it off. Maybe Paloma really was trying to help after what they had done.
