Vows of Graphite and Guilt

Vows of Graphite and Guilt

And more importantly, it was a dead end with a single, easily defensible three-foot entry port. "Julian," she knelt beside him, finally clicking her tactical light on its lowest, survival-red setting to preserve her night vision. The crimson beam washed over him, and Clara felt a cold hand wrap around her throat. The systemic shock had fully taken hold. Julian’s face was no longer pale; it was flushed a deep, mottled gray-purple. His breathing was a series of rapid, shallow clicks—the sound of a lung capacity being severely restricted by a skyrocketing core temperature.

Blood of the Black Moon

Blood of the Black Moon

“The truth will drown before it reaches daylight.” He touched the sphere. Light flooded the room—cold, silver, absolute. Every shadow flattened. Each councilor felt the faint tug at the base of the skull as the city’s ley-lines adjusted to the coming surge. It was like the drawing of a collective breath, enormous and perilous. Meroth released the sphere. The light dimmed to a steady pulse. “See?” he said softly. “The Cradle listens.” Tareth’s voice came rough. “That wasn’t listening, Meroth. That was hunger.”

Design of Fate

Design of Fate

I could make no such promises. We both nodded. Brynn leaned against the desk and was quiet for a few moments, trying to figure out how to word something. “What happens to vampires if they come in contact with mercury?” she asked my mate. “Mercury is our version of wolfsbane. Liquid mercury is fatal to normal vampires if it is shot into the bloodstream,” Imeela explained. My attention snapped from her to Brynn, wanting to know what in the fuck was going on. Was Imeela in danger? Would someone going to try hurting or killing my mate?

I have enjoyed the supernatural diversity in this universe. I thoroughly enjoyed the author's take on Fae as seen through "Fated Soul - Fated Light". I loved learning about the Nabellos and sphinxes in "Fated Power - Fated Destiny". My favorite are the vampires in this book.

I love all of the books in the Fated universe. I am loving this sequel even more than I loved 'His Hunt For Redemption'. Jackson and Zeus are perfect for Imeela. I also love all of the twists and turns when it comes to dealing with the Precoza coven. I can't wait for Kalen's story next.

that had failed the "Market Test." The Merchant-Beast stood on a platform of frozen code, holding Kaelen’s white-glass cage over the mercury. The "Genesis Gold" marrow of the boy was bleeding out into the air, creating a violet-gold fog that the beast was "Harvesting" into a series of small, mercury-vials.

Claiming Her (#3 The Southern Werewolves Pack Series)

Claiming Her (#3 The Southern Werewolves Pack Series)

Too many questions flooded Liam’s mind, but he hoped Jay wasn’t another villain. Liam eliminated the mercenaries one by one on his end, while Brandon took care from another end. Despite their injuries, the two werewolves held up to the end of the battle. When the final mercenary dropped to the floor, Brandon collapsed. Liam caught the gamma and inspected his wounds. Brandon had been shot twice on both his legs and one at his abdomen. He had another gunshot on his left shoulder, too close to a vital organ. The silver poisoning was preventing him from shifting.

Forgotten Luna

My throat was still crushed; I could barely say another word. “You know, black magic isn’t something you can control. It’s something you can follow with—a pinch of this mixed with a pinch of that to get something dark. Without understanding the theory, you can’t wield such more. That’s the only reason you couldn’t win. You’re as weak as ever.” He turned his back at me, showing me the ripped-up parts of his flesh. “What…what…” blood came right out of my mouth. Coughs pushing out several waves of blood—it hurts massively. I needed to ask what happened; I needed him to explain how Merida had gotten into the picture.

Cursed Blood

she shrugged. "So do you believe in that?" I asked, ignoring her overly possessive remark. "You mean those legends about half-blood children?" she said. "Well, no." "Why not?" Octavia just looked at me as if I had zero IQ. "Does your butt look like you're missing a tail?" she asked back. I had to bite my lips from screaming at her. "But why are there such legends about dhampires and stuff like that in the books?" "That might be true for defective genes to occur in a human-vampire relationship," Octavia said casually. "But the same with humans and humans. You know how genetics can mess up sometimes, don't you?"

Blood and Rain

Blood and Rain

A second later, a sickening, silent snap echoed through the magic of the room as Henderson’s body was cast into the corner like trash. "Oh, gods," Fiona choked out, her silver eyes flickering as the sheer violence of the vision threatened to break her concentration. She forced herself to hold the connection, watching as the remaining council member fell to his knees in terror while Malakai began barking orders to the heavy excavation crews waiting at the border. With a sudden, sharp splash, the water on the map turned a deep, bruised crimson, and the vision vanished, leaving only the stagnant, bleeding ink on the ancient vellum.

BLOOD DEBT

BLOOD DEBT

Dino’s POV I had never opened those files in many years, not out of secrecy, but because they were covered with excessive blood. They sat on my individual server, and were kept, closed over three layers of clearance, any movement or conversation thereof being neither noticed nor recalled by anyone save the dead. I read them tonight, since the name of Drina was never to be forgotten, and because I felt that silence was beginning to be a crime. The screen was dimly lit in the dark office in which I poured myself a drink that I was not determined to take. The capital of Madrid was extending beyond the glass walls, breathing life, unaware of the ghosts breathing within my empire.
