Blood is oozing from my arm on to the white tiled floor. I can't breathe!

Myra, sleeping in the pool of her own blood and again the person in front is equally helpless as he was that very day. Needles poked her fragile hands... hands, which had slender fingers just a moment ago, had now swollen due to the needles. catheters connected to some of those while some done to take out blood samples. Not one but 4 doctors looking after her.... yet not one single sign or clue of what just happened. So suddenly ? A minute ago, she walked towards him with a tender, soft smile that would've gone unnoticed by some but him ? Never could he ever miss an expression, a movement, a word from her- let alone a faded smile.

The eyes deep and excited in black dark circles, almost disappearing with the natural color of their irises. The skin devoid of its natural shine stretches over thin and pointed bones, similar to a dough too thin for a protruding filling. Connected to the devices near her bed, Penelope's right hand receives the small hose that takes the serum to her blood, while the left holds on her index finger the oximeter that gently whistles as she breathes.

She stepped back towards Corbin, closing the distance between her and his back. Beth had barely finished speaking when Corbin spun back around to face her in a blur. I said quickly with panic rising into every word. She remained terrifyingly still, her breathing shallow. As I adjusted my grip to cradle her closer, I suddenly felt a strange wetness soaking through my fingers at the base of her head. While holding her head securely with one hand, I slowly removed my other hand from the back of her head to see what it was. The sight that met my eyes completely terrified me. My palm was entirely coated in blood. My breath hitched, a horrifying gasp escaping me as my hands started shaking.

I spoke with a soft sigh; I shot my eyes tight. I felt a warm and moist feeling in my nose. With my index finger, I wiped my nose with my palms. The blood I saw this time was not the usual one, it was usually a few drops. I thought it was just the minor stress that I usually put myself through that caused it. I looked at my hand gloves, it was covered in thick red blood. they formed thick blood clots. I gasped, doing my best to stop the bleeding. My hands were shaky or maybe I was the one wobbly.

Bertha's eyebrows furrowed tightly because she always smelled a strange smell in the air. There seemed to be a very strange scent of men's perfume, mixed with a very strong fishy smell. "This place has been abandoned for so long, why does it smell like fresh blood?" She walked around Derek, looking around the room. Finally, she found a palm-sized pool of crimson blood on the ground, like fresh blood that had not yet dried. She slowly squatted down, reaching out to touch the pool of blood, but her wrist was suddenly held tightly by Derek. "Don't touch it, dirty."

The blood from his hands had pooled slightly on the floor around where he was lying and it was cold now which meant it had been there for a while. He could feel his ankle pulsing with pain but it was starting to feel slightly further away than it had before which he understood was not a good sign. Things feeling further away when they should hurt was not the body getting better. It was the body running out of resources to keep feeling things properly.

"Two fingers going numb after a break isn't something that waits until morning." She didn't argue. Which told me the pain was worse than she was letting on, because Maryann's default was to argue. Dr. Martinez answered on the third ring. I described the symptoms—increased pain, two fingers numb, cast applied yesterday following the break. She asked several questions I relayed to Maryann. How far up the arm was the numbness? Was there tingling? Could she move the affected fingers at all? "Bring her in," Dr. Martinez said. "The cast may need to be split or replaced. Compartment pressure is manageable but it needs to be assessed now, not in the morning."

Couldn't feel anything. "Blood pressure dropping," a voice said, suddenly urgent. "BP 80 over 40." The joy in the room evaporated instantly. "We're losing too much blood. Get me four units O-negative. Now!" Machines started beeping. Fast. Frantic. Wrong. "Calloway?" My hand in his was going numb. I couldn't feel his fingers anymore. Couldn't feel the wedding ring he'd placed there two months ago. "I can't—I can't feel—"
