She poured herself a cup of tea and sat next to him, continuing to read her interesting novel.

pulled her out of the whirlpool of her novel, his incomprehensible murmurs, so she put her book on the side of him, trying to understand what he was saying.

“Ah, right now,” I told him, and returned to him with a glass of water as the last time, and he shook his head, refusing the water to come back to consciousness gradually. He opened his eyes and watched her with confused looks just above him, trying to wet his lips with water that irritated him more than quenched his thirst.
