Bloodscript: Survival Game of the Reborn
I sprinted along the narrow ledge of stable stone running the back of the dais, boots skidding on dust, and veered toward the side.
The throne loomed beside us, still cracked, still pulsing faintly. The forbidden line on the wall burned in my peripheral vision:
> DO NOT BLEED ON THE THRONE.
Reverse it, my writer brain screamed. Invert the rule. If bleeding on it wakes it, then the right blood might put it back to sleep.
Lord blood.
The Lord spun to track me. Reality rippled around him; chunks of floor below us shifted again, making people scream and grab for purchase. Corvin shouted my name somewhere in the chaos, voice ragged.
