Ari's POV I took off the kumpur on my hand and I tried to put my roughed up clothes in order before heading out with my bag. I took a minute to take in the scenery. This place that hasn't been home in quite some time. Unlike most packs that still retain the old ways like it was still the eighteenth century, Bayblue was infused with a lot of technology, for example the power plant just South of the border that supplied constant power to Bayblue and about six more neighboring packs, Black lightning included.

The screams gave way to a low, continuous growl that vibrated through the very floor. Where Nate had been, a wolf now stood. It was the most beautiful and terrifying thing Kieran had ever seen. Its fur was a silky, shimmering midnight blue, a color Kieran had never seen in any wolf, ever. White wolves were rare, legends whispered about them. But blue? It was unprecedented, a color stolen from the deep night sky just before true darkness fell. Yet, this breathtaking beauty was marred, as if the transformation had been stopped midway. Jagged, pitch-black streaks, covered the entire left side of its powerful body, a stark, violent contrast to the luminous blue.
