She’s still wearing the black t-shirt and jeans from this morning, but makeup plasters her face. Trex grunts and starts striding back and forth in my head. ‘I hate that shit. I purred at him, and he smiled, noting I only did that because I didn't like the frown on his face. “Alright.” He patted my head, smiling as he resumed from where he stopped. I had to concentrate like he asked me to, to seek the light he spoke of. His hypnotic gaze made me envision a wall surrounding me. I had to seek a crack in the sturdy protection, and when I did, I raced towards it with vigour.

It made me want to vanish into the cracks of the floor. Then he went silent. He stood perfectly still. He reached into a pocket and pulled out a tiny glass vial. He held it up between two fingers. The liquid inside was a shimmering, electric blue. It rolled back and forth as he tilted his hand. "This," he said. His voice was gravel. I watched the aquamarine liquid swirl. It was too bright. It looked poisonous. It was a sick, fake version of the color of my own eyes. It mocked me.

Rosa blinked, trying to clear her blurred vision. “Oh!” She suddenly gasped, flinching slightly in his arms. “Blue eyes?” She murmured while her gaze fixed on his piercing cold eyes. She lightly slapped her own lips, mumbling, “Blue eyes... hmm.” Her head tilted to the side as she stared down the empty alley, lost in thought. The alcohol still clouded her mind. Slowly, she turned back to him. “You.. you have bullu eyez. I know somewan with blue eyez. H-he looks just like you.” Rosa’s shaky voice babbled.
