I nodded slightly, and soon, a glass glowing with a faint blue light was placed in front of me. I gently picked up the glass and took a small sip, the bitterness and spiciness blooming instantly on my tongue, followed by a faint sour fruit flavor and floral fragrance spreading in my mouth. I unconsciously frowned.

“What would you order?” Suddenly, Blue averted her gaze. Pressed on regardless. “I’d order two coffees and a cheese and tomato sandwich—a mocha have-here and a takeaway long black,” Blue took pause. As she did, she scanned the crowd of those who had since begun to queue. Wondered how many suffered the same silent fate as she. Somehow, felt no sympathy for those who did. There were worse fates, she was rather aware. Yet her self-sympathy somehow lingered. “The mocha and sandwich would keep me full until lunch. I’d save the black for mid-afternoon when I get hungry again,”

Can you imagine Amanda even came here to tell me you wouldn't come and that Isabel wasn't my child, such nonsense”. Mr gold chuckled weakly. The waiter dropped our order and I went for mine immediately, taking a huge gulp that set my throat and chest on fire, simultaneously making me light-headed. “What the hell was that?” I glared at the shot glass, ruffling my hair. A throaty chuckle cracked from his lips as he signaled the barman to refill our cups. “My favorite cocktail. Long Island Iced Tea. I like it because it tickles and at the same time it slaps,” “Well it doesn’t slap harder than finding out your fiance has a babymama at your wedding. It sure doesn’t,” my eyes narrowed, my gaze disconcerted.
