I fumbled my hands under the white tablecloth and looked at him, “How long will the orders take?” Jayden made a show by looking at his watch then replied, “Usually fifteen minutes ah here are the drinks. I didn’t know if you consume alcohol so I played it safe. Besides, I make it a point not to take hard drinks in front of Brian.” The waitress smiled and served the different drinks to the three. “A glass of Nom yen for Brian.” An iced bright pink drink in a tall glass was placed before him. A deep blue liquid in a transparent glass teapot was put in front of me, “This is the nam dok anchan or butterfly pea tea.”

I replied taking a sip of my water as checking on Jason through the corner of my eyes. "Sex in the driveway" I choked again on the water. "What?" I asked alarmed. "It's a variation of Sex on the beach. It's a drink don't worry" he gave a mischievous smile. "Oh," I facepalmed inwardly. The bar attendant handed me a bright blue drink just like the deep blue waters in front of me, with a slice of lemon on the drinking glass and ice cubes floating on the top. I took a tiny sip from the straw provided. It is a bit sweet with peach, orange, lemon, and sprite. The soda bubbles give it a lighter feel that makes it refreshing.

She leaned closer, her voice dropping conspiratorially. “Check this out.” She pulled out a laminated menu, pointing to a few drinks with a grin. “Blue Lust—bright blue, gives off this cool vapor, got a lemon twist for zing. Then there’s Devil’s Kiss—black as night, vodka-heavy, extra ice for that kick. And the Rainbow Special—layers of colors, tastes like a damn fruit explosion.” My eyes drifted to the vibrant drinks on the menu, tempted. I reached for the Blue Lust, imagining the sharp tang on my tongue, but Stella swatted my hand away, quick as a whip.

"Don't worry, I can recommend something for you. How about a Long Island Iced Tea? It's a classic cocktail, and it's pretty strong." I consider his suggestion for a moment before nodding in agreement. "Sure, that sounds good. Thank you." Ryder signals a passing waiter and places the order for the drinks, then turns his attention back to me. "I will leave you to it then." I place my hand on his across the table, as he is about to get on his feet. "Could you sit right here..em with me please?" Ryder's eyes widen slightly at my request, his eyes falling on my hand on his.

S: I didn't know how you liked your coffee so I just got one of every flavor they had. To you, Blue. He didn't need to think twice to know who it was from. There was only one person that had ditched his original name to address him by 'Blue'. And for the millionth time, he cursed again. "Fuck."

"Try that. It's a Long Island Iced Tea." She took a sip and looked up at me in surprise. "That's pretty good. It has alcohol in it?" No shit. About a six pack's worth. Maybe more. "Yeah, but it's not like beer, is it?" She took a long sip, knocking down about a quarter of the glass. "Nope. Lots better." She leaned back, sipping, looking at me. I could almost see the gears churning away upstairs. "You want to talk about it? I know something bad happened the other night," I said.

Me : all this searching is making me thirsty Blue : should I get you something to drink? Me : yes please. I need a smoothie. Check my fridge, banana flavor. She stood up and walked to the fridge which was next to my closet. She opened it and brought out a smoothie can and was about closing the fridge but I told her to take one for herself too. She smiled and looked through the fridge, found the one she wanted and closed the fridge. Blue : here it is, your banana smoothie Me : thanks, there's nothing like a chilled drink on a hot day

Only when the server emerged with their drinks did Julia seize her moment, darting in front of him. A triumphant glint swept over her as she looked at Evangeline. 'Evangeline, you're so smug, aren't you? Well, tonight's the night you're going down in flames,' Julia thought, a gleeful smirk playing on her lips. Evangeline, settled in her booth, received her cocktail. It was a stunning shade of bright blue, the ice cubes casting a cool mist. If she leaned in close, the crisp scent of tequila would tease her senses.

“Do you have this, but in blue?” I paused. “You want a blue ice cream carton?” “Yes. Everything has to be absolutely perfect for this party I’m throwing. Everything has to match. I like rocky road, but I can’t find a rocky road in a blue carton.” “Sure, just give me—” “Miss?” I whipped my head around as Miss Blue Ice Cream scoffed. “Yes?” “Is the bakery going to be making any more cakes? I need a freshly-baked carrot cake for something tonight.”

At this moment Alicia returns. “Here are your drinks. A Guinness for you, Sir, and a Coke for you, Ma’am,” she says as she hands us our drinks. “The food is being prepared right now and should be out in a couple of minutes.” Tyler and I both thank her before sipping our drinks. “This is a good Guinness,” Tyler remarks. “How is your Coke?” “It tastes the same as it usually does,” I reply. “So, back to our previous conversation,” Tyler says, changing the topic. “My favorite color is blue and I like to train.”
