The floor beneath them split wider. A deep circular hatch rotated open. Cold air burst upward. And with it came light. Not white. Blue. Soft. Mechanical. Ancient. Then a cylindrical platform rose from below. Slowly. Something stood inside it. Human shaped. Tall. Motionless. Covered in silver containment mesh. At first no one understood what they were seeing. Then the platform rose high enough for the face to show. Clara screamed. Not because she recognized a stranger. Because she recognized herself.

Elara’s Pov I woke up to silence. Not the tense silence from last night. Something quieter. For a second, I forgot everything. Then memory returned all at once. The messages. The man outside the house. Blue asking if people were mad because she was Adrian’s daughter. My chest tightened immediately. I sat up too fast, instinctively reaching beside me. Blue was gone. Panic hit instantly. I pushed the blankets aside and stood quickly…… Then froze at the bedroom doorway.

She was drenched as I continued to assault her with my fingers. She threw her head back, her glorious blue hair splayed around her and moaned loudly.

Not fear of death or being caught but he looked a bit more nervous than actually scared. As if he already knows what’s happening but won’t say a thing about it… won’t confess. “Is there something you’re not telling us?” Blue paused and then bared his teeth, almost transforming into his wolf. His silver wolf was bigger than mine, almost as big as Ahbaya’s wolf. Blue laid low and growled again.
