Anna asked. He didn't respond, only lifted his arm and extended it toward her. His wrist was lean and elegant, the long, well-defined bones of his fingers almost mesmerizing. I trembled slightly as my heart pounded heavily in my chest, squeezing painfully.

He stiffened and looked at me, it was as if he felt it too. He looked at his veins, they were dangerously red and engorged, almost as if they wanted to burst out of his body. “My blood,” he gasped. “What?” Sir Claude sounded confused. “My blood,” his eyes narrowed as he kept staring at his veins as they spread out across both of his hands, all of them coming to the surface and pulsing with a light red color.

No blisters, no discoloration, no signs of trauma. I pulled my left-hand back and lowered my sweater down my arms to see that the bruises were gone. No darkness, no yellow, nothing. I looked up at Veda with, I can only imagine, shock on my face. They had just been there, huge and dark. What is going on? I asked myself. I glanced at my arms again then at Veda. “They're gone!”

One second I got up to fight and the other I saw the monster retreats from me. He growls at me but steps back looking around at the forest. Back up was arriving,I can hear heavy footsteps approaching. Before I could attack he was already running away, and I was ready to chase when my eyes stop to look at her. Her face was loosing it's colour ,lips turning blue and her entire right arm was....what the hell was that? My eyes widen as I see the veins in her arm turning black and what was worse was that it was spreading...up further to her neck and chest.

The same situation occurred with Bjorn’s feet and as the snaky blue veins dotted the ceiling like the branches of a tree, the small platform in front of Mel glowed a soft ashen colour, shifting the shimmering blue to a light grey.
