Blushing Drawing Novels & Stories

I’d hardly taken any notes today, in fact, but as I’d been thinking, I’d been drawing mindlessly, too. Scrawled on my page in smudged black biro was my own face. I’d barely registered drawing it. It was cartoony, with lips that were even bigger than my real ones, and doe eyes that were looking up at nothing. My lashes were long, casting spider-leg shadows down my cheeks. One side of my face was dark, and the other was shining in the light. I scribbled over it, forcing my pen so firmly into the paper that it began to tear. My vision became blurred as I dragged the pen through the notepad, and then I jumped when a hand was laid on my arm.

"Fuck, after that last one, I'll happily let you draw a pretty picture on my face." The girls smiled brightly and made their way to our side of the table. Brian gave each of them a black marker and flipped a timer. Hycinth was still wearing her heels, making it easier for her to reach me. I felt her draw quick lines on my cheeks and above my eyebrows, before drawing a circle on my nose and filling it in. "Times up!" Brian called out. "What did you draw?" I asked curiously, although I had an idea. She smirked, "You make an adorable pussy...cat."

He looked up at me, a mixture of shyness and wonder in his eyes. "Stay still Blair." I said, sitting back on the opposite end of the couch. I reached for a hard-covered book on the coffee table and used it as a flat surface to draw on. "Uhm, I don't know how that's going to turn out..." he trailed off, anxiety laced in his voice. "Are you sure you want to... draw me?" I hadn't even started and he was already complaining. I had to get up and turn his head back to the same spot since he had changed the pose.

He shrugged, “I just do. First, I see the colors of people. Red means bad and blue means good. Those guys were dark red, but the guy they are working for is even darker red.” I asked, “Do you mean the colors around people?” He shook his head, “No. It’s the color of their hat.” I smiled, “You’ll have to draw a picture of what you see for me. Do you think you can do that for me?” He nodded, “I can do that. Do you have markers or crayons?” Lena opened one of the drawers in the entertainment center. She pulled out a sketch pad and markers and handed them to him, “Here you go, little brother.” Blaine smiled, “I like being called little brother.”

Because after I was done, I looked down. I saw Angelstar, my wolf, and a beautiful wolf has a midnight color on his tail and under his chest with a shape of a paw on his chest. I knew it was a bigger guy than her and me because they were on the mountain top watching the sky. Then something came to my mind. So I started drawing on the other pad. I was underlining the picture and coloring and shadowy the part of the picture. Once I was done. I gasped and hid my flush face because I had drawn a girl with beautiful platinum blonde hair and purple eyes, but I kept my eyes on her. Oh, my God! The drawing looks just like-

This isn't an outline, this is a full-blown drawing. “This is…” “A hobby I picked up, nothing interesting” He waves it off and my heart shreds up a little. I flip the next page and it's another drawing of me lifting a bloodied figurine high up above my head. My lips are pursed harshly and are painted a sharp shade of ruby red. My eyes are a different shade of brown, they look glazed over like I'm in some sort of bloodlust haze. There are specks of blood splattered all over my face and hands.

He doesn't bother to comb his long hair, always messy, falling at his forehead, which makes his face so cute. "You're staring at me," he smiles teasingly. "I'm not!" I quickly look away, feeling a bit shy. "Since when you're shy, Samlin Greenham?" he lifts himself up by pressuring on his elbow, gazing down at me. "You're literary blushing. You know what happens when you blush? Your cheeks turn red, like spilling color. Just like this," he puts a finger on my left cheek. "I know, shut up!" I giggle, swating his arm.

Such a childish and girly tantrum. I covered my face. This was truly embarrassing. It was a good thing that I am the only person seeing this. I could not let Lucas know that I have such a habit before! This would be my secret until the day I die! "Mom, look here! I draw myself and mom!" My mother and I looked at the drawing book. There were two stick figures on the paper. The taller stick has long hair and a big smile with very long lashes that expand longer than the ears. While the shorter stick has twig tails and a small smile.

A girl who has my face. It’s surreal. How do you recognize yourself from a faded drawing? But…these are no ordinary drawings. It feels like someone has drawn the sharp lines of my face with perfection, carefully outlining everything to match my features. My eyes—a dark, sparkling blue color is the only color that has not faded and turned yellow or brown. The contrast of that bright color against the old, dead papers…does something to my heart. Without realizing it, I touch my chest. A light pain starts deep inside somewhere.

Then he turned, and hurried away. I was pleased when he was gone, and now placed my full attention on Olivia. She was tense, probably expecting me to scold her, and her heart was racing fast. Amusement sprung up inside of me like water from a well. I lifted the drawing I was still holding and turned the image to face her. At once, she blushed as red as the roses I had named her for. “Tell me, pet. Do you enjoy drawing me?” “It’s a coincidence,” she said, but I didn’t believe that for even a moment.
