I smiled at her. “It doesn't look pretty when I close my eyes.” She sighed dropping her brush. “But we can make it pretty. If it is not pretty then it is not worth drawing,” I said, pulling her closer to me. Scarlett smiled nodding her head. I took her brush and stretched it to her. With this, she continued to draw. This time, I just watched. My heart was shooting pain to my nervous system. My baby used to draw colourful things. Birds. Barbie. Anything that had colour.

I ask him with the intention of taking my mind off certain someone who is still so much focused on me. "You really wanna talk to me?" He questioned, surprised. At her question, his eyes crinkled "If that's what you like I will be more than happy to do it" Her heart stuttered, and she flushed again. Talia lost count of times he coaxed that reaction out of her, and she wondered if it's possible to be permanently reddened from blushing. Twisting her head, her eyes fell on the portraits hanging on the wall just above the flowers.

The suit, the pose, the expression… everything was eerily familiar, and I felt a strange sense of pride knowing that I had made such an impression on her.
