Bon Voyage Malta Novels & Stories

She placed a fully laden plate down in front of me and looked at the envelope and the tickets. “Who’s going to Mauritius?” I looked at Adara and smiled. “We are. It’s a gift from Malachi.” James reluctantly handed over the itinerary pages to Adara and gave Malachi a pouting look, which looked ridiculous on him. “Mauritius? I’ve always wanted to go there! I can’t believe this, Malachi! Thank you so much!” Adara was ecstatic and Malachi chuckled as she laughed and read every word on every page that James had handed her.

The suit man sent a message on a blank phone, shoulders hunched around it like a lighter flame in bad wind. I took the last page. There was only five lines printed on it and my thumb smeared them. MLT Free twice. Smaller amounts, quick turnover. Transit / Δ-12 / refuel. “Malta Freeport,” I said. “Refuel can be ships or planes. Either way, Δ-12 moves through there.” “We use Lucia,” Nicos said. “She points us in a right direction or otherwise.” “We can box her in,” I said. “We need her insight.”

He exhaled, leaned back, and after a beat added, quieter, “What matters right now is this trip. Let’s put all our focus on that.” The evasion dug at me. My chest tightened, but I forced myself to nod, staring down at the fold-out table between us. Fine. If he wanted to play mysterious billionaire, so be it. I wasn’t going to care. I lifted my head. “So where exactly are we going?” His eyes met mine, cool but unreadable, and then the corner of his mouth twitched. “The Maldives.” The word hit like a slap. “The Maldives?” My voice rose before I could stop it. “Are you serious? That’s halfway around the world. What could possibly...”

“Ten to fifteen feet, possibly more if we hit it head on. One of the cargo ships recently reported waves in the thirties, but they’re in the storm as we speak.” “So, slow down,” I tell him. “Give it some time to pass.” “Tell that to the captain,” he laughs, shaking his head. “This is only my second year aboard this boat. Captain Louis has been ferrying this family since Queen Ella dropped the veil and made it possible for sea traveling between Veiled Valley and Maatua. He’s seen a thing or two and doesn’t believe this is anything to worry about.” I’m obviously not convinced. I leave the cockpit in search of the captain but end up standing in front of Brie’s door again. I knock before enterin

Neither I can ask him nor I can reply. " Come on, Mr Sabbatini. The Maldives is the best place for our advertising shooting. What do you say Ms Chandra Maldives or Dubai? " Maverick said and eventually smirked at me when I sighed in relief. Secretly throwing a sharp look in his way I smiled at everyone before saying " Maldives "

"Silas will have people waiting for us. We need to find a way off the island without using our passports." "The supply boats, " Elena said. She was thinking about the wedding. "They go between the islands and the port in Malé. They do not check the people on the boat for the things they are carrying." "What do we do when we get to Malé?" Penelope asked. "We will find a boat that will take us where we want to go without asking questions, " Julian said. His jaw was tight. "I have some money that Silas does not know about. We will go to London first then New York. We need to hide until the wedding."

"And what makes the Maldives so different from Malibu?" Taylor sat up straighter, counting on her fingers. "The Maldives are in the Indian Ocean. Tropical. Laid-back. Desert island vibes. High-end lodging. Amazing food. Exceptional service." She dropped her hands. "Perfect for a honeymoon." She paused. "Malibu has juice and coconuts." Jessie rolled her eyes and folded her arms across her chest. "Too far." "Nineteen hours, Jess." Taylor shrugged. "Worth it. Or… the Zermatt resort in Switzerland. A little getaway from here."

"I haven't decided yet. Where did you go? I'll consider it." "The Maldives." Bonnie was surprised, "The Maldives? Bella, your husband is quite something." Many people went to the Maldives for their honeymoon, and while it wasn't very expensive, everyone was a middle-class worker. Being able to go to the Maldives indicated that they had some money, and there were also various price ranges for the Maldives. You couldn't generalize.

she chuckled, “But I guess that’ll have to wait.” He stopped and faced her, “Consider it done.” “What? Are you serious? I don’t mean now … with the baby coming and everything.” “Of course not, but it’s done … you’ll have it … and how about that trip to Malta? Are you up for it? Or maybe some other exotic countries you want to visit? Nepal? Monaco? Anywhere in the world just point to the map.” “Malta sounds nice for now,” she smiled and kissed him. He had arranged the trip for weeks, she didn’t really want to go anywhere else. What he had planned for her worked for her so far, she didn’t need to change anything.

I whispered to the screen. Vincenzo wasn't here for a family reunion. He wasn't even here for a power grab. He was here as a broker. Valletta Imports was the front for the Malta Syndicate, the most ruthless human trafficking and arms-dealing organization in the Mediterranean. If Vincenzo was meeting Pietro and taking Malta money, it meant he had sold something to the Syndicate. And in the Moretti world, there was only one thing the Syndicate would pay that much for: The Port Access Codes.
