he said and approached Sarah. "Are you in a relationship?" I asked him. They were both taken aback by what I said. "No," Sarah said. "Soon," Carlon added, smirking at me. "Sarah just wants to check if you have brownies today," carlon said. "I still have a lot. How many do you want? Also, I have cookies here. same price." "Cara, I'll buy one oatmeal cookie. I want to taste it," Carlon said. Even though he's my brother, he still needs to pay, and I don't think he has a problem with that. I know that he knew this was a business.

There is 4 total ships that would be involved in the Inspection tour from Aeternum Central Shark City to the Eloesa City, with the public aims is to inspect the river routes and also delivering a few important items from the Aeternum Mainland to the Kingdom of Eloesa. There is only a single modern ships in the entire fleet of 4, that modern ship is the Coastal Patrol ship types from the Coast Guard, of which that I bought on earth before, the ship were fully geared up and armed to the teeth, ready for combat. As for the other 3 ships were the slow moving medieval wooden ships caravel, naturally it was all fitted with Magic Sails, for a bit faster movement. Yes, the Sail were magically enchan

I narrow my brows at his use of that vulgar term again, hating how crass it is. “Okay I will. From this second until further notice. I’m not giving you sex. You can try all you like, but I am not yielding to you.” I pout, sticking my chin in the air and smirking like a diva. “Wrong thing to say to me. Never challenge a Carrero, baby.” Arrick pulls the car into a turning, looking away before his attention is back on me and I realize he’s heading off course to home, heading into an underpass off the freeway and turns down into a tunnel at a faster speed until we slot into dimness. He stops the car suddenly, in a darkened tunnel, unclips his belt and gets out. Like a flash of decision, so fast

he asks. “That would be me,” I say. “Great!” he says. “Well, I have a car parked out front, if you would follow me.” I follow him outside the airport where a black Mercedes SUV is waiting. He opens the back hatch and takes my suitcase from me, lifting it inside one handedly with ease. He leads me to the passenger side of the car, where he opens the back door and beckons for me to enter. After I’m situated, he closes the door and hops in the front passenger seat. “So… Amikat” he starts. “I’m Samuel, Arienne’s Gamma.”

I relax, glad to have my breathing space back. “They’re primarily ship builders. I want to take our experience and build floating hotels and spas bearing the Carrero name. Modern conveniences with luxury fitness amenities onboard … Super boats.” “Like cruise ships?” “High-end cruise ships, only a lot bigger and more pamper based.” “What makes you think they will be a success?” I’m intrigued by his plan. “The Carrero name … It’s what Hunter needs for this venture to be plausible. Their reputation of late has suffered. They had a few multibillion-dollar disasters. They get our reputation and our name, and we get rights to the designs they have in progress.”

The clouds may look close but I knew they weren’t. Gavrael just chuckled in response to my questions and the next thing I know, he’s tipping us over the edge and we’re falling into a damn volcano. I couldn’t stop the scream that escaped me, and since there was nothing else to do, I held on to Gavrael tighter and hid my face in his neck with my eyes closed. It wasn’t that I was afraid of heights, I just didn’t know what he was hoping to achieve with this, and frankly, I didn’t trust him at all. Maybe this was the entrance to his underworld kingdom in the nether realm, or he was sacrificing me to something worse than him, who knows.

I’m guessing this is not a random passing joke. ‘He told you?’ I turn to him with amused questioning and lean back against the bar. Letting my eyes wander over that familiar ‘head of the mob’ attire of his. Dark tailored suit, black tie and a heavy black coat, even though today is still on the warmer side. I swear they have a manual somewhere with all the rules and codes of being a Carrero henchman that states—black is the colour and Savile Row for tailoring.

Sophia pointed at the display. “The carrier is still operational.” Victor confirmed the reading. “It’s damaged… but still moving.” Emma whispered, “That’s impossible.” Victor shook his head. “It’s not a normal warship.” Lewis stared at the radar signal. The carrier had slowed, but it was still descending. Daniel cursed. “You’re telling me five missile hits didn’t kill it?” Sophia spoke quietly. “That’s the Leviathan-class.” Lewis frowned. “Leviathan?” Sophia nodded. “The Covenant’s most advanced deep-sea assault platform.”

Like it was the easiest promise in the world. But my mind panicked. Because the problem was People who say they won’t hurt you end up causing you the worse kind of pain. I stared at him, really staring this time. Cairos Veylan. The same man who acted like I was a problem from the moment I arrived. The same man who spoke about Ravenmoor like it swallowed people whole. And the same man who I feel somehow know things about me I had no idea of. My chest tightened. And there was .. Alara.
