If they have not met in person that means they have spoken on the phone or on social media. Either way, Lucas can’t remember speaking with anyone over the phone or on social media with the name, ‘Bonnie.’ “There are a lot of explanations to make; I hope you will give me the chance to do that?” “That depends.” “Then I should sit first.” Bonnie makes her way to the wooden chair next to Lucas’ bed and made herself comfortable on the chair. She crossed her leg and gestured at Lucas to sit on his bed.

Adrisn nodded, agreeing to Christian’s words. The room fell quiet. Bonnie shifted uncomfortably, her voice quieter now. “If he finds out about this…” She trailed off, swallowing hard. “He’ll come for me. For my mom.” Adrian met her gaze directly. “If you cooperate, I can make sure he never touches either of you.”

In the end, she nodded her head heavily. “Okay.” She sat in front of Luna. Bonnie was about to ask Luna what her request was when her phone rang. It was from Jason. Bonnie glanced at Luna. She did not avoid her and picked up the call directly in front of Luna. “Hmm, I’ll go over right now.” After she hung up the call, Bonnie took a deep breath and looked at Luna. “He’s waiting for me at the mall. We have made an arrangement to go get our fingers measured to custom-make our rings.”

The Whitakers lasted longer than most, but the house had grown impatient with their stubborn hope.
