It's a handwritten book by a toddler. Lucifer looked at the drawing. It had a sun with two adults and a child in the middle. The book had a name written: Jessica's mommy and daddy. Lucifer glances through the book and turns to the second page; it says to believe. The third page says, ‘I have not abandoned you.’ The fourth page, ‘if you are reading this it is because it was planned you find this.’ As Lucifer turns the page, he sees gods hand reaching out of the sky. As he checks the other pages, it is all blank. This is where your story begins. Tossing it aside, Lucifer can't help but tear up, seeing this girl's picture with long blonde hair and about seven years old.

I quickly got Gatsby his kibble and some water. When the cat was happily eating, I turned my attention to Gabe. "What ya got there?" I sat on a barstool and swiveled closer to him. He glanced around sheepishly before heaving the book on the counter. Moments before I saw the cover up close, I'd imagined it to be a book from Professor Pops' Museum of the Supernatural, and worried Gabe stole it. No one was to touch those pages. Turned out the book was nothing mystical, just page after page of whimsical dresses by the designer Vera Wang.

I go the opposite way, painstakingly reading each and every title. “Callie!” Alice exclaims excitedly. “I think I found something.” I hurry over, seeing her pull a smaller black book off the shelf. There’s no title on this book, only a gold Baphomet overlaid on the leather. “The Book of the Beast,” I whisper, eyes lighting up. “I think you did find something.” She cracks the spine and I lean over, heart racing. And then the library doors open and close with a boom, echoing throughout the entire room. Alice and I both jump, and she quickly shoves the book into her cloak.

Everything she could get her little hands on would find its way in her mouth. Late in the afternoon, it wasn't for a short time she whined she kept going as she rubbed her cheeks furiously. "What do you think is wrong honey?" I asked James. "Hmmm, I don't know. I think I'll get the book." He mused. Of course, he would get the book. It was a book about babies, from the day they were born until they turned one year old. It was like his bible for everything concerning our baby girl.

Erika couldn't answer what Lei said to the two of them, telling them the real story of the war that had killed Erika's parents. "My niece will help you get over what you're going through with your daddy before I help you awaken your powers. I hope that in time you'll accept who you really are. I know that won't be easy for you," Lei said, turning the book back to normal and handing it to Erika. Lei said that normal people couldn't read what was in the book because the book she gave him was not ordinary. "That book is only for deities except for my niece and I, so we can read it because we're not ordinary," Lei replied.

Kennedy POV. The weather was bad, but I needed to get that new book, it's Robert birthday gift, who'd knew a grown up man would kill for the newest werewolf love book. I got into my car, drove carefully toward the local book store, they had the new book reserved for me. It was supposed to one quick drive, until I walked into the library. A girl was sitting on a bean bag, her blond hair was covering her eyes with overgrown bangs, she tried to huff them away from her face but to no use. She looked young, maybe she's just here with her parents, looking down at the book she had in her hands it was a kids story. Does she read for the local kids? Or is it just for her?

“You bet. That baby set me back three hundred big ones. Ralin’s not getting anywhere near it—at least not until we know how lethal he is.” The object of their discussion sat at the table across the room, engaged in a rare moment of quiet leafing through a picture book his grandmother had given him. This is…for later.” She hugs it anyway. “I read,” she declares. “Of course you do,” I mutter. “You’re my kid.” She toddles off toward the door with her trophy.
