Bonds By Blades

Bonds By Blades

“Trust me.” That word— Trust— hung between them like a blade suspended mid-fall. Kael hesitated. Then nodded. “Fine.” The creature surged forward. Rowan moved. Not toward it. Sideways. Controlled. Measured. He slammed his blade into the ground. A pulse of blue light erupted from the impact point, spreading across the stone in a geometric pattern. Symbols flared into existence—ancient, structured, precise. The floor fractured along predetermined lines, revealing a containment lattice beneath.

I Regained My Sight Just in Time to See My Husband Cheat

I Regained My Sight Just in Time to See My Husband Cheat

“And we don’t rush it. The vision comes back in stages, if it comes. Color first, sometimes. Then shapes. Don’t panic at the blur. The blur is the point. The blur is your eyes learning to work again.” “And if it doesn’t come back?” “Then we’ll have tried,” he said. “But Clara.” A pause. “I think it’s coming back.” It came back on a Tuesday. I was sitting by the window of the recovery room with the bandages off and my eyes closed, because closed was safer, closed was what I knew. Brooks had told me to open them slowly, in dim light, no pressure. I opened them. And there was blue.

Blind and Bound

Blind and Bound

It’s as though their prayers are starting to be heard and their desire to save Odessa has become an amplifier. The dark energy seems to be scrambling and suddenly detaches itself from Odessa. A gust of wind caused by the energy suddenly snaps around, making their hair fly around and their clothes to billow. A whistling sound begins, sort of like when a kettle is reaching its pressure from heat. It causes tinnitus in their ears that seems to get louder. The candles blow out, but the power pulsing in the room grows brighter and brighter. It’s a good thing their eyes are closed as the light would be blinding. There’s a warmth spreading through the room.

BURNING THE LINES BETWEEN US

BURNING THE LINES BETWEEN US

The mansion felt different when they returned, like a stage set where someone had moved all the props slightly to the left. Collins couldn't pinpoint what had changed, but his instincts screamed danger. Jerome felt it too. "Something's wrong." They found Akihito in his study, Miranda beside him, both of their faces grave. On the desk between them lay printed copies of the photographs from the email, all of them, spread out like evidence at a crime scene. "Sit down," Akihito said, his voice carrying a weight Collins had never heard before.

THE LINE BETWEEN US

THE LINE BETWEEN US

I tried to focus on the sound of pages instead of the sound of his breathing. The books lay open before me on the polished table, their white pages catching the last strands of evening light filtering through the window. My fingers trembled slightly as I flipped through them, searching for a place to start, though the words blurred in front of me. Every small movement felt amplified in the quiet, the slide of my chair, the rustle of paper, even the faint hitch in my breath. Damian hadn’t said anything since he told me to begin.

BLOODLINE ZERO

BLOODLINE ZERO

Something in my chest that has been in one position for eleven days shifts. "Vienna reported in this morning." He crosses to my desk. Sets down a single printed page with the deliberate care of someone who has thought carefully about how to deliver something. "Prague went dark yesterday. Lisbon haven't responded to three separate messages." He pauses. His voice doesn't change — he's too good for that — but something behind his eyes does. "The degradation pattern is consistent across all five bloodlines. Starts eleven days ago. Simultaneously." Another pause. "To the hour."

FROZEN LINES

FROZEN LINES

Just profiles, brief descriptions, and the occasional meeting if the conversation went well. I scrolled through a few profiles without much interest. Most of them were from nearby towns or travelers passing through. Then one profile caught my attention. No face picture. Just a photo taken from behind—a man sitting on a balcony somewhere snowy, a glass in his hand. Dark coat. Broad shoulders. The image had been taken carefully. The username read - NorthBound. His description was short. Someone who preferred quiet conversations. Books. Hiking. I leaned back against the headboard, staring at the screen for a moment before tapping the match button.

Crossing The Line

Crossing The Line

I blinked, trying to steady my vision, but everything kept shifting—like the walls were breathing. Two doorways soon came into view. “1069…” I mumbled, staring at the card in my hand, wondering where I was supposed to insert it. I don't know why I was saying the numbers aloud, but I couldn't stop it. “1069,” I repeated, searching for the number tag. I looked above the entrances. “No number?” I asked myself and blinked, to make my blurry vision clearer. My focus cleared, and I tried to pronounce the… words?

BLINDED BY SEDUCTION

BLINDED BY SEDUCTION

Something seemed amiss. I blinked twice, then again, slowly. The pain in the back of my eyes burned, yet it was subdued—muted. The world wasn't black. It was something else. Liquid light nudged the edges of my vision, like the first hint of day through mist. "Elara?" There came a voice through the mist. Filling. Warm. I shifted my head slightly, and the motion had the sensation of pulling my skull through sandpaper. "Elara, do you hear me?" The voice came closer—Dr. Knox.

Flash Marriage With My Ex's Brother

Flash Marriage With My Ex's Brother

Iris loves Blaze was written in neat, childish handwriting over and over again. But the more I looked, the further I went; the air in the room felt heavy, suffocating. I took a few steps further in, my gaze bouncing from one picture to the next. Some were drawings, crude sketches in pencil that looked like they had been done by a child. Others were photographs—so many photographs. And then, one picture stopped me cold. It was a photo of the girl, Iris, her hair loose and spilling down her shoulders in soft curls.

I was really enjoying the book despite the wait in between chapters but I swear the last 5-7 chapters have all been repeats with different titles. I refuse to pay money anymore for this book when some major editing needs to happen.
