I have never in my life felt such public humiliation, never felt rejection, never felt so broken before. I had no one to turn to or confide in. For weeks I drowned myself in alcohol, drugs and anything I wouldn't originally buy with my money. That was where I found consolence. I wouldn't pick any incoming calls, nor let anyone in on my life.

It was filled with thick books with different sizes, but some are notebooks and photo albums displayed with some cute decorations that mostly were handmades. But as I take books from there places, I accidentally pushed the music box where a carousel was attached at the top of it. The bookshelf was high and so does the area where the music box was placed. This causes it to shatter into big pieces when it fell on the floor which causes a loud noise that lingered through the every corner of the silent room.

“Who. Did. This. To. You?! Tell Me!” Ethan glared at Alexa, which made her feel terrified. She took a few steps backward until she accidentally hit the antique vase that was worth hundreds of dollars. It was placed on the corner of the corridor, and bumping into it broke it into a thousand tiny pieces. Alexa gasped as she saw the broken pieces of glass all over the floor she had just cleaned.

Silas's POV I broke three things before I was satisfied. The glass first — a clean, sharp explosion that the men in the room absorbed without flinching. They'd learned. Then the lamp. Then a chair, which took real effort but was more satisfying than the rest combined. Something about breaking furniture tells the body it's doing something. I straightened my jacket. Sat back down.

I currently had broken toes on both feet, broken right knee cap, three broken fingers, broken ribs, collar bone and left shoulder. He wanted to be the one comforting me. He wanted to be the one I ran to. He wanted to be the one I trusted. But I’m not ready for that. I’m not ready for him. I’m too broken for a mate bond. Too damaged for something that pure.

Ford’s pov I must have dozed off, because when I awoke, by the moon shining through my window, I was still seated on the ground. I hastily stood up, not remembering the items I was holding, the snow globe smashing on the floor. In a state of panic I began gathering the fragments of glass, hoping that somehow I would be able to put them back together. But similar to my relationship with Nivia, once something is broken, it cannot be mended. ‘It can,’ Callum spoke in a kind voice, his anger gone.

They break apart after a while and Gabriel leaves. All alone. Again. Lori thought as she walked back into her room.
