Love, Life, and Other Stuff

Love, Life, and Other Stuff

“Specifically, the part about Steel Gaze. I understand my review made you decide to let them go.” He sat back in his chair, then burst out laughing. “You guys will never believe what I found out today before work,” Brooklyn said as she walked into the apartment. Her shoulders sagged as she looked around at the empty room. “Guess I’ll have to wait to share the news when they get home,” she muttered. She went to her room to get changed, then grabbed the book she was reading and headed to the couch to relax. When her roommates entered the door, they saw Brooklyn stretched out on the couch, fast asleep. They instantly lowered their voices.

The Billionaire's Outrageous Addiction

The Billionaire's Outrageous Addiction

"I'm glad you do. But I must tell you this; it's going to be hard. It's not going to be easy. You'd feel like bailing and you'd feel like a shitty person. We all are at a point in our lives before we heal. So when you come the day after tomorrow, I want you to come with every baggage you can carry and we will offload as much as we can to make you feel lighter by the time you return home, okay?" I nodded. She picked a book and handed it over to me. "This is a book I wrote last year: The Abstractness of The Mental. I give it out for free to my patients as I like to call you all." I laughed and nodded before looking down at the book. It had a glossy feeling to it and a picture of the brain and

Entangled With The Bad Boy

Entangled With The Bad Boy

It brushes the back of my neck and I can feel him right beside me, close enough that his scent wraps around me. My stomach knots. I keep my eyes on the shelves, forcing myself to focus on the rows of titles instead of the way my pulse won’t stop racing. I scan the books until one catches my eye. The title almost makes me laugh, ‘Screwed Up? Here’s Your Reset Button.’ How fitting. I bite the inside of my cheek to keep from snickering and grab the book fast. “I think I see another one,” he utters, his voice dipping a little lower now. “Up top.”

Love and lies: Married to his enemy

Love and lies: Married to his enemy

The books on the shelf were neatly arranged but the frayed edges and the little tears on the bottom of most of the books gave out that they’d been read a couple times. Adrian didn't particularly strike me as someone who would love to read but I guess you can't always judge a person by their outward appearance. I traced my fingers along the spines, the titles ranging widely from classic literature, to mindset guides then to business strategy books. One title in particular caught my eye and I pulled it out : Good to Great by Jim Collins. I flipped through the pages not so sure of what I was looking for, because I wasn't interested in reading the book at the time, but it was an appropriate dist

Miss Goody Two Shoes

Miss Goody Two Shoes

“Or maybe read a book? Rub myself into a stupor. The usual stuff.” “Does it help?” “Depends on the book.” “That’s not what I meant,” he said. Ngh. His voice. That note of command, cool and unyielding, like chains wrapping her up tight. “Um, yes. Tends to quiet my brain. If nothing else, it’s distracting.” There was a silence. Distorted, as ever, by the medium of their communication, and unreadable. “Then perhaps you should try that,” he offered. “Are you telling me to?” It was out before she could think better of it.

sign. To distract myself, I turn back to the shelves. The smell of old books was like a drug to me now. It is a mix of cedar, dried ink, and a hint of the outdoors that people brought in on their coats. Having the freedom to browse these stacks is a luxury I hadn't enjoyed since I was a child. I reach out, running my fingers over the spine of a contemporary romance by Alyssa Cole. I lingered on the texture of the dust jacket, lost in the cover art and the weight of the story inside.

Spoiled by Mr. Russell

Spoiled by Mr. Russell

Hence, this book should be the most suitable for you. Although what he said was not disrespectful and was spoken sincerely, Heather grew increasingly irritated as she listened. "Are you kidding me?!" The meditation book was bent out of shape as she twisted it in her hands. Alexander was surprised. "Am I kidding you? How could that be? I'm sincere, but you don't seem to like this gift. If that's the case, then I’ve given the wrong one. I should take it back." While he spoke, he reached out for it.

How many chapters will this book have I have already spent $40.00 and that could have bought a whole novel. The book is good but it doesn’t need to carry on forever!!! What is the last chapter? I wouldn’t have started reading it had I known it wasn’t complete. This disappoints me greatly!!!

I would like to give my opinion on when his eyes open…… the book is great to read, but I feel like I pay to read that’s okay, but now it’s like the chapters is getting shorter, I don’t want to start on another story when I did not finish the first one. Please let me finish reading this book.

Omega (Book 1)

Omega (Book 1)

Klark, ‘Tribid Greed’ by Steve Reynolds, and a lot of other books. One by one Trisha returned all the books she'd picked. When she was beginning to get tired and unmotivated, the corner of her eyes perceived a strange book on a shelf not too far from where she was. Its spines were tattered and appeared like spiky wires beneath the poor lighting.

The Billionaire's Baby Mama

The Billionaire's Baby Mama

Crisscrossing my legs, I placed my pillow on them, then the book and the pillow, and finally, I adjusted my duvet so it went from my head and covered my body. “Operation Read to Dawn is now set and ready to go,” I mumbled to myself as I flipped the book to chapter one. ~ ’Darn it! Why can’t I concentrate?’ I threw my head back, the duvet falling off, and stared at the glass dome above. Almost twenty minutes had gone by and I was still stuck in the fricken first page of fricken chapter one. Everything was too loud and distracting. Every single thing. The soft humming of the AC, the clicking of Dante’s laptop keys, the rustling of documents, even our breathing.

Alpha’s Obsession

Alpha’s Obsession

But right now I am reading a spectacular book called ‘Unwanted mafia king’ it's very interesting, and I highly recommend it. Flipping onto the next page, I heard a knock on the door. Oh lord! Who is that annoying person that wants to disturb me right now? I absolutely hate it when I’m reading a novel and someone comes to distract me- like hello- I am busy. If it’s possible I would just hide behind the moon and read as many books as I want without any distractions. There goes the knock again and I took a sip of my coffee and gently kept it on the table not wanting to
