"Did you make any friends."
"Maybe," I replied. He looked.
"Just maybe?"
"I mean, there were potentials."
"Which means...?"
"It means just because you sit with a group of people, or speak to them for a whole thirty minutes, doesn't make them your friends. I need to know more about them, know if I can trust them, if they're dependable. That's what friends are. This is not kindergarten." He stared at me a moment, and then gave a slight smile. I didn't understand why, so I crossed my arms and gave a sigh.
