I have to go on a business trip for a week, so I get a cat-sitter to come over and feed my cat Muffin while I'm away. But on the second day, when I check the live footage from the living room surveillance camera, I see my fiancee, Kate Swanson's childhood friend Samuel Lambert enter the password for the front door and walk into the house. Then, he throws a grape into Muffin's bowl. Samuel Lambert raises an eyebrow in the direction of the surveillance camera. "Hey, Jonathan. Muffin is a smart one, isn't it? ******* *knock* *knock* *knock* *knock * I was still in deep sleep my eyes barely opened when I heard that someone was knocking hard on my bed room's door. But I was too tired to open the door so I covered my ears from the pillow and pulled the blanket back on me. I shouldn't have to stay at the party the whole night, I knew it, the hangover will take me. I won't do that mistake again but I need sleep. *knock* *knock*

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK Phyllis was awoken by the three loud knocks that she heard from her door. Still half asleep, she decided to ignore it. KNOCK Another knock was heard but after a few minutes, it went quiet again. Phyllis was again fast asleep as if she was not bothered by the noise earlier. Since she did not need to worry about her nephew, she was able to sleep peacefully. Or perhaps she was just so tired that she did not have the energy to get up. Nonetheless, she did not want to move from her spot.

*knock* *knock* Before Theo could say a knock on the door disturbed them. A maid walked in and informed them that Mrs. Wright is waiting for them downstairs. Theo recall that he has to drop his mother home because he remember sending her driver to the residence. Theo excused first after the maid leave the room. Meanwhile, tears slide down Ira's eyes as she tried to brace herself for the future. After all, there is no going back now.

“Knock” “Knock” I hear a pounding sound from the door and realize that it is the owner and this time he means business because when I look out the window before opening the door, I notice that he looks pissed. Murmuring softly before opening it, “I bet he heard the commotion and is here to get rid of me, if not worse.”

*Knock, Knock, knock* I no longer felt like I belonged. Everything just felt strange and so Modern. The knocking on the door just felt like background noise as I completely ignored it to focus on wallowing in my own misery. *Knock ,knock ,knock * I could hear the door slowly crack open but I still did not move from my spot on the bed. The darkness brought me comfort and made me feel more at home. Unfortunately for me the person who entered opened the blinds and light immediately flashed across the room and blinded my eyes.

His grip on his flagship blacksmith hammer was getting tighter. His eyes stared intently at the door in front of him, which was made of solid teak wood. He hoped the door was strong enough to hold back whoever was behind the door, the uninvited guest. He swallowed hard.

KEISHA Knock! Knock! Knock! The rhythmic sound echoed through the hallway as I stood outside Celine's door, my knuckles rapping against the wood with a sense of urgency. Each knock seemed to reverberate through my bones, amplifying the anxiety coursing through my veins. The banging comes again, this time sounding more like loud knocks. “Someone is at the door.”
