The Lovely Loner

The Lovely Loner

The kind of cry that comes from the soul, not the throat. Peter held her like glass. His voice was hoarse, but he stayed strong. “Hey. You don’t have to cry like that. I’ll be coming to see you as often as I can. Every break I get, I’m there. You’ve got your laptop—I installed Skype myself. We’ll call every day if you want. You’re not alone, Ann. I got you, baby girl.” She shook harder. “But I’ll miss you, Pee. I don’t know anyone there. What if it’s lonely? What if I can’t—”

And Grayson placed her down in front of her door. He looked down on her. Just like it has always been since they first met. More than usual, Skykar hated her shortness. As if hearing her thoughts Grayson chuckled lightly. Then said seriously. "Sometimes, you just have to look closer to realize you are not alone. Lonliness is just a self prison made by once ignorance to society and the people around you who actually really care. Okay?" "So even if you see no one. There's still a star next to you. Shining."

"But not you? I don't think you fit in that category." He pursed his lips, "You'd be surprised." "Really? Try me." He hesitated at first, "Okay ... I'm afraid to end up alone," he raised his brows, "That's the reason why I want to retire ... I've been alone for 10 years and it's not easy at times ... it gets very lonely, and the thought of going through the rest of my life alone terrifies me." It struck her, loneliness is a very human emotion that could plague any normal human being, "Is that how it feels like to be on the run?"

Ok. I need to know what happens next. When can so expect book 2. I am waiting for Armando to come out of this coma and Diego and Ari life on the run has just begun. Don’t leave me hanging please. I am hooked and need the ending.
Cheys Hogue
I definitely recommend this book. All the characters are really intruiging, even the antagonist. I even sympathize for him, why he became who he is now. I actually don't know who to ship: Ari&Diego, or Ari&Armand 🤭 Armand maybe a coo2x, but I want to give him the benifit of the doubt.

My Alpha, My Bodyguard

My Alpha, My Bodyguard

"But it also sounds a little lonely, doesn't it?" For a moment, the man remained silent, the only sounds in the car the gentle hum of the engine and the distant chirping of crickets as evening continued to approach on dancing feet. Then, after a pause that seemed to stretch a little too long, he finally spoke. "I prefer to think of loneliness as relative, Vivienne."

Lonely kiss

Lonely kiss

I wasted no time in getting on top of her and showing her how much I missed and love her. ~~~~~~ Something inside kept on telling me things would go wrong. I was trying to be hopeful that it will pass. I got to the small apartment we were renting and used my key to let myself in. I found she was laying on the bed . It's a small apartment with a bed, some sofas,a tv and the bathroom. People mainly used it as an rental. "Put some clothes on. I didnt call for that." "But baby I missed you. And we haven't had some fun in a while."

Let Me Go, Alpha Calhoun

Let Me Go, Alpha Calhoun

Trying to hold on to his memory, I even use his toothbrush, hoping to feel close to him. Nighttime becomes a painful routine. I wear his clothes, hoping to catch a bit of his scent. It's like trying to hold onto something slipping away. The bed, where we once laughed and made promises, now feels cold and lonely. Loneliness is like a sharp pain in my throat. The mansion, once lively, now emphasizes the emptiness left by Calhoun's curse. The sounds of laughter are gone, replaced by the echoes of my footsteps, highlighting how much I miss him.

THE UNVEILED CONTRACT

THE UNVEILED CONTRACT

It disgusted me. I did meet someone who satisfied me. Just enough but that relationship collapsed shortly after. I believe that, at some point, I was a bit lonely. Carl Jung once said: “Loneliness does not come from having no people about one, but from being unable to communicate the things that seem important to oneself, or from holding certain views that other people find inadmissible.” I don’t understand what that was supposed to mean. I had only ever met 2 people who deviated from this pattern.

The Lonely Wolf

The Lonely Wolf

She opens the bag and pulls out random, half eaten items that look like trash and smiles as she seems like she's about to bite into one. I clear my throat and say, " Maybe this feels strange, but also like we are supposed to know each other or something. To be honest, I feel like I've known you my whole life, but I'm not sure why. Do you maybe want to hang out so we could go get some food or something?" Smiling, she stands up and says,"Really? because I've got that same feeling and it's been forever since I've had hot food." Confused, I asked."What do you mean?" she looks down and says," I've been homeless since pretty much my eighteenth birthday." My jaw drops. I thought maybe she was just

I'm His Loner

I'm His Loner

Mikkel grabbed the book that was plopped before her nose and threw it at the coffee table that was on the far end of the room. "Fine...." The two of them plopped down on the worn-out sofa with their bowls of Caesar salad and dumplings. Ever since Meghaal entered his life the young man felt less lonely. His days no longer were spent with reheated food consumed alone in the deafening silence of the room that was only disturbed by the chirping crickets that inhabited the surrounding trees of the forest he called home. His parents, as loving as they were, were too busy with pack affairs to be on time to catch a warm meal with their son. Aphrodite had made his lonely life much more bearable ever
