I inhaled deeply as I looked at the towering stacks of books, most of them about dark power, curses, and forces capable of binding fate itself. I thought about Kairos, about the immense power he possessed, and the weight that came with it. I even found the karma sutra amongst what I can only classify as the ‘self help’ section, opening it and then quickly closing it in case Enzo or his mother entered the room. A large book at the end of the shelf entitled “The Power and Responsibility of Men” caught my eye. It seemed to be more weathered than the rest of the books, but I didn't get why. “Who would be drawn to a book like that?” I asked myself, pulling it from the shelf.

Meredith's POV: It says that every omega had powers ranging from psychic abilities to the gift of dreaming to even healing properties. The book is mostly about how the first omega came to be and how she taught her kind how to use their mystical powers. This is like a big manual. Halfway through the book, it turns into a biography of the first twenty omegas in existence. It told the stories of their struggles in life and in unlocking their powers. It explained the methods they used to nurture those powers and make themselves stronger.

The air trembled. Chaos looked up sharply. Hunter stepped backward. Marcus froze. Even Elias sensed it. His eyes widened. For the first time— He looked afraid. Good. I let go. Completely. He started with Alpha and gave a vivid description of how they are, oblivious that Harold's father was one and all things being normal, he was meant to be ascend the position next. When he was done talking on Alphas, he talked a little on the characteristics an Alpha's wife, a Luna, was meant to possess. When he was done, he spoke on the Betas and spent another fifteen minutes talking on Deltas. By the time he reached subtopic ‘Omega’, the class was almost entirely over. He then went on to talk on a wolf which they all possessed before the class came to an end. “What is it like being the pup of an Alpha?” Chloe asked as she and Harold walked out of the classroom.

“Because once you cross that line, you do not get to pretend things can go back to normal.” Dante sat up too, his bare feet hitting the floor. “Normal was an illusion,” he said. “I just did not know it yet.” He stood and walked to the window, pushing the curtain aside. The city was already awake, cars moving, people rushing into lives that felt simple compared to the mess unraveling inside his chest. “My uncle taught me everything about power,” he continued. “He always said information is currency. Control what people know, and you control what they do.”

"If you would allow me father...I promise to get the mystery book back...but I can't do that with the book still powerful" Adam said, going on his knees "You speak like a Kid son, you've ruled for several years as the commander of the four border's of the earth and you don't still know the capabilities of your reign" Ozario snarled. "I don't get you father...what did you mean?" Adam asked. "You're the commander of the borders and the commander of the mysteries..you have the power over the book..but it's only one condition"Ozario said, staring at him intently

I skimmed through it immediately, pursing my lips as my eyes ran across the words. Most of what was said didn't concern me, so I skipped them, searching for where they talked about powers but didn't see any. “It would be much easier to check through the preface. I think all the topics must have been listed down.” Avilla suggested down my shoulder. Meg came to stand on my other side, looking curiously from me to the book. I thanked Avilla and did as she said. True enough, all topics were written down, making it easier for me. As I ran my eyes over the titles, I was careful not to miss a thing. Then I saw it, it was on page 106. The title was power.
