Except for that black magic, this book is also confusing. I took the book from Ruby and took a look at it. My eyes widened when I noticed something. "There is a missing page." I checked the page numbers to prove that I was right. "Page 66 on chapter 6, it's missing." "666, is it the number of evil? Woah, this is really interesting." Hera exclaimed. "Let's look for it here." I told them, they quickly moved and looked for the missing page inside the library, maybe it was torn apart and was thrown in this room. Or maybe, someone has intentionally taken that and kept it so no one would know what's written in that page.

This was it—the answers she had been looking for. She only had to flip to page five hundred and thirty-nine, and she would get her answers. Her fingers shook as she flipped through the pages, reciting the page number like a mantra. Her heartbeat was increasing with every breath she took. Until she got to the page…

Libro Vitae whispered its voice harmonious. "Libro Vitae, please show me where Alastair is hiding," I asked. The book hummed in response. Libro Vitae became warm in my hands. The cover opened, pages flipped continuously until they suddenly stopped. The words on the page jumped off the paper, floating into the air, wrapping themselves around me. In a blink of an eye, I was pulled into the book. Light flooded my vision. Every sound echoed around me. Voices raced past me, speaking in riddles. Some shouting, screaming, others a dull whisper. Libro Vitae's voice became louder as I watched the trees form around me.

She needed to know that I believed in her, and rushing in there over nothing was the perfect way to do the exact opposite of that. Huffing out a sigh, I went back along the corridor until I reached the alcove. There was a bay window curving out into the gardens, a window seat in it, and a little bookshelf beside it. Needing to occupy my mind, I plucked a book off the shelf at random. My eyes widened. The first page of the book was not a cleverly worded piece of fiction. Printed in the same font as the chapter title, beneath the little image of a curling wave and a proud number one, was a message. It read:
