I said, finally admitting it as I shoved a forkful of food into my mouth to avoid their eyes.
“Stop living for others. It will only make your life more miserable. Live for you,” Liam said, his voice heavy with a deep sigh. His words carried a weight of experience that I could almost feel.
“Well, I lost my family, so I didn’t think I had any reason to live,” I said, shrugging my shoulders and casting my gaze downward, unable to hold their intense scrutiny.
“So, what’s your reason to live for now?” Liam asked, placing his spoon down with a deliberate motion. His body leaned forward slightly, his gaze sharp and searching.
