Novelas y relatos de Book Reading Journals

Maya says. "You always write it down," Lily says. "Somebody has to," Maya says. The book sells in the way that true things sell — slowly at first, then steadily, then to people who press it into other people's hands with the specific urgency of someone who has found something that says a thing they couldn't say themselves. It is not a famous book. It is not reviewed in the places that make books famous. It is reviewed in three journals — one legal, one policy, one literary — with the specific appreciation of readers who recognize something real.

The preparation for the third book was inward: the reading of the journals, both of them, across sixteen years. He had asked Ernest in November: I want to read both journals. Not the private entries — the entries that are about the argument. The entries that are the argument's evidence. Ernest had said: tell me which you want to read and I will read alongside you and we will decide together which entries belong to the argument and which do not.

She switched the lights on as she skippered through the library once again. She’s been in that library for almost a week now. Each time, the books are added up with more and more. She wanted to just throw the white flag and end her suffering. This was not leading to anything useful for her at all. What good does reading books give you? And how is it even helpful to someone who’s studying to become a jinni? Do jinni’s teach subjects? “No, but it keeps them grounded, helps them be smart about all the thing that they do.”

Besides the boredom, I was a snoopy woman and everyone should've known that by now. My eyes fall on the large map spread out on the desk and my interest in it increased. Without thinking, I reached out for it. It was a map of a pack- not his pack but another pack nearby. He probably wanted to destroy it just like he did to mine. I found it boring so I decided to look away and pick up the old, leatherbound book that seemed to be tearing apart from the inside. As I opened it, I realized, it was a journal- Raymond’s journal. I froze and then kept it aside, I couldn't read his journal or anyone's, that was a private. I wouldn't want someone to read mine if I ever wrote anything.

She responded only to assure me she'd be happy to help with my work or offer a breather, but like Tabitha, I simply closed the window on it. I'd not been lying, either. My workload was still copious. The journals fromNight were still piled high. It was one of those labor of love gradings, where the rubric was pretty fuzzy and the grade was largely a completion score for making sincere effort. Still, breaking the book into five sections meant five journal entries, times one page each, times eighty-four students, which all told made for four hundred and twenty pages of handwritten text to skim and comment on. I tried to make sure each of them got at least a comment or two. It had been almost t

"Lord but what's the girl reading now?" Jenny sits in a chair by the fire, a coffee cup on the hearth one side of her, and next to it, an oddly coloured pebble, lined with rust and deep green stripes. "It's a book about geology. Mr Kalkowski lent it to me." She yells a protest as Brett snatches the book from her. "Let's have a look at it then." Mockery in his voice, "What have we here?" He flicks through pages then reads one of them, tracing the page with a forefinger, his lips moving silently.

It felt like she was still here with me, in this room, and for a moment, I forgot about everything else. I heaved a heavy sigh and turned around, but something caught my attention on her bookshelf. There, nestled between the works of Jane Austen, was a small leather-bound journal that I had never seen before. I picked it up, feeling its soft cover under my fingertips and carefully flipping through the pages. As I read her delicate handwriting, my heart ached with both joy and sadness. This journal was a window into her thoughts, her feelings, her dreams. It was like a piece of her that I had never known before.

Rachel immediately hide the journal she had been reading. " What is that you're reading? " He proceeded to asked her noticing her attempt to hide what she is reading. "It nothing Hon, just a piece of sad story I was enjoying reading. I found it with the things belonging to my grandmother Anna."

But nothing prepared for the hybrid journals and what was done to their parents. The last entry of this journal was eighteen years ago. Strange. I flipped the book to the first page, and just as I was about to get vested in it, I heard a voice. “You're going to tell me why you are reading that.

The fact that there are many books in this library, I can say that he just randomly asked books to fill this place… “D. M" Hmm? That is the letter that is written in every last part of the page. It was cursive. “Should I… read this?” I was hesitant whether or not I should read this journal bit then… I find it hard to put it back. It was as if some force is telling me to read it. “Alright…” Madison, bring it on! Let’s read this book! The front page was a purely simple note for the title. There was no acknowledgment or any author's note.
