A hand that flipped through a unique book that was slightly dusty. The dark color of the book looks faded by the title. His hands were not smooth, nor did they look dull. But, the eyes are starting to look confusing. “What a strange history book,” Felix muttered glancing around the body of the book.

“Yeah, there is a new series coming in by noon today. These are the early birds.” Of course. “You are an early bird too aren’t you?” “We are. This one is by a newbie author, his second book. So not too many people know about him yet. But his first book was so amazing, I’m certain this one will be too.” I find a book that catches my attention, he eyes the jacket; “Good choice. Now, let’s find us a nice pod.” I point to the one I had been eying since I got here. An upstairs bunker type. The only one of its kind. Secluded and really private.

The Nest was a tomb of silvered wood and rusted iron, buried so deep in the Blackwood state forest that the GPS had given up ten miles back, leaving them to navigate by the memory of a road Julian hadn't traveled in a decade. It was a sprawling hunting lodge that had seen better decades, its cedar walls grayed by the elements and its windows narrow like gun slits. As the SUV’s headlights cut through the thick, pre-dawn mist, the structure loomed out of the dark like a jagged ribcage. This was where the Vane name had been forged in moonshine and blood, long before the bespoke suits and the glass towers. This was the dirt beneath the empire.

Oakhaven glittered beneath the sunset—beautiful, arrogant, alive. A city completely unaware it was living through its final peaceful spring. Nebula lounged across the mahogany table beside me like a miniature emperor overseeing the collapse of civilization. His sleek black tail flicked lazily back and forth while his emerald eyes reflected the storm of notifications illuminating my screen. “The hornets’ nest has officially been poked, Host,” Nebula purred smugly inside my head. “And look at them swarm.” I swiped open the first article.

He walked to the balcony and sipped his tea quietly. Brishor turned the book over and looked at it with a grimace on his face. He read the first word written on the page, “Nestefel.” Tova jerked his head back. “Nestefel?” He rushed to Brishor, snatched the book from him and stared at the page that was open. “Wait!” he cried. “Nestefel is going to help Penny. If we can get hold of this herb, I may create a potion that will, no, that may… bring her out of the stupor!”

The child nestled in the embrace of Nesta’s arms. Time seemed to freeze as Erdem's gaze shifted between the child and Nesta, the pieces of a puzzle falling into place with staggering clarity. A surge of emotions, both overwhelming and surreal, coursed through his veins. He watched in astonishment as Nesta’s radiant smile illuminated her face, her eyes filled with a love that transcended words.

I opened the book again now with a bright idea. Searching the little book, I saw something that got my eye, it was a small tunnel under the cottage, but it led to the castle, and in the middle, it was called something strange, “what the heck is a love nest?” I asked myself when I heard the laughter of some goofballs for friends but with others around them.

Nestie asked, a bit doubtful if the blog really does exist. "She said she'd give it a title that I won't forget." Toto chortled as he looked at his notebook. "She called it 'Toto's Notebook'. You can look it up now if you like." "I’ll do that now," said Nestie and he brought out his phone to search for Toto’s Notebook on Blogspot. “Wow! It is live!” Nestie was surprised. “I see there are only five chapters.” “Yes. It will be longer when I finish,” said Toto.

The architecture of the place may have been a bit slobby but it was still a comfort location for her. It was quiet peaceful time. The main room of the library was split into two levels. The lower level had lots of bookcases and a checkout desk. A short spiral staircase led to the upper floor where there was seating place for people to study or read their novels. Large decorative wooden panels outlined the windows on the upper level. Enkeli chose to sat in the seat near the window. She peacefully scribbled down notes from the book as she heard the birds chirping from the win
